V1 Latino guy in his late 30s. Plays somewhat tight and is a reg. $1000 in HJ.
Hero short stacked for this game (started at $200 when regular starting stack at this table is $500-$2000). Currently $450 in UTG.
Hero has QsQh. I was racking my chips for a table change but looked down at the ladies and had to play out of my rack.
Hero limps. I’ve only seen 1 hand in the last 20 that doesn’t get raised so I figure I’ll check re raise. There’s lots of 3 betting at this table so I might even get the chance to 4 bet jam.
Calls to HJ who opens for $25. Standard open at this table is $20-$25. I usually open to $10-$15 given my stack size.
Folds to button (asian guy, pretty tight) who calls the $25. Folds to hero and I raise to $100.
V1 calls. Button folds. V1 tells me it’s bad luck to play out of the rack.
Flop ($230)
4h 5h 6d
Hero checks. Villian bets $80. Hero?

I like the idea of check-jamming this flop as played. If you call the $80, there is $390 in the pot and you have have $270 behind, so it's going to be kind of hard to fold most turns anyway. Your line is going to look insanely strong, but there are definitely worse hands that can call, and it's conceivable that you could take this line as a bluff with AKhh or AQhh.
Folding flop is out of the question and your hand could use some protection. Check-shove seems good to me.

Yeah, I like the check-shove line too.

I'll assume 1/3 NL?
Limp/reraise method (including all the way up to the HJ in non-Button straddled pots) is my standard preflop play. So I play preflop the same.
The smaller / more vulnerable my overpair, the more straightforward I play here and just cbet to setup a stack shove on the turn. I might consider getting more tricky with less vulnerable hands like AA/KK.
As played, I would do a card check (as if checking for AKhh) and jam now. If we just call we'll only have a 70% PSB left and there are lots of action / hand killers, plus we're OOP (are we planning to donk shove or risk giving a free card?).

Raise pre
cbet
I don't like check/jam, what if he checks back otf?
We l/rr'd pre. The crai will fold out most of his range which we beat. If we raised pre and he called, then we cbet and he called, we would get more out of him rather than playing the hand face up (he probably thinks we have aces, so we lose a lot of value by raising him out).

I had a similar situation at 10/25 last week at 80bb (2k) effective.
LAG opens to 3bb, I 3! to 12bb in the blinds with JJ, flop comes T75 two tone.
I should probably cbet my small overpair, but this villain loves to bet his weak made hands for protection, so I decide to check. V bombs for 3/4 pot. I x/r all in for less than a PSB. He calls after 10 seconds. Board runs out T75T3 and I win.
If I play the hand as a c-bet I don’t win all the money because I have to check turn, and SPR/board texture would not allow me to get stacks in on the river.
Sometimes trapping is beneficial.
