Fold. Nits always have you beat here. Even if he has the the draw you're flipping. Against this player I might not even bet flop. It depends how villain responds to your aggression post flop.

Given the small 3 bet can this ever be AQ? If 55 and 44 are in villains range shouldn't AQ AdKd and possibly AdJd.

It's possible that AQ is in villains range, yes. But I think in general, across a spectrum of bad nitty players, AQ is outweighed by AA, sets, and combodraws when this raise happens.

Obv we have to be careful doing this but most nits won't adjust their 3betting/3betcalling range

A good nit won't be 4betting AA here against this 3bet size imo unless we are <3%3bet

It's 4X. In fact, I'd almost rather start 3betting to a smaller amount so we can widen our range in this spot rather than condense it.

Edit: I think you are confused because it's 1/2nl and not 2/4nl, so sry for flammage

there's nothing wrong with this 3bet size.. 4x IP lol, more than enough. you could go smaller. it's pretty bad for your bluff range to be 3betting over 4x IP.

yea but it's a minraise, making a 3bet 5X a minraise (to 10bb) is much better than making it 2.5X imo

if not, you're setting yourself up to play in many more tough spots postflop which is fine for some and bad for others

Why not check behind here? All the hands you want him to pay off with, can't stack off anymore...and the hand that we wanted the call from (QQ) hit like a mutha.

Anyone calling the flop? CR flop isnt the worst play, esp. if he does have AQ or had air, he will have to shut down once called?? Unfortunately, putting in almost half then folding is gross too.

As it is, letting it go isnt terrible, but you didnt include how often he calls 3 bets or check raises on the flop.
