1/2. Stack sizes range from 100 to 300. Hero covers. High-hand Tuesday promotion.

Vs are remarkably similar: loose passives, playing more than half their hands, open limping, calling limps, but also limp-calling raises. Some are open-limping AA, AQs, etc. They are sticky on later streets. Most are calling the hero's semi-bluffs.

Hero is TAG and one of only two players open-raising consistently.

OTTH

Five limps, SB folds, Hero in BB with 8h5d checks.

Flop (10 after rake): 7h7s6s

Checks through.

Turn is Qc.

Hero? Realize some equity with a small bet? Just check through because someone likely has a Q? Do we really care about small pots like this at all?

In this type of line up that you described there is no point in betting here.

It's a paired board with a FD and your small bet will not get through 1 person much less 5 sitcky players who could have limped in with strong holdings. It will accomplish nothing other than burn money.

They are passive so most likely let you realize your equity. If not just fold and move on to the next hand.

If this was HU maybe you could make some argument for betting.

When pot is this small and you can already be drawing dead, I just let it go or get to showdown fairly cheap.

RIO is just too bad here when we start building a pot.

Vs sticky villains described this is an easy check and probably a hand that belongs in the thread of not threadworthy hands

Open a calculator, throw in some garbage hands that bad players can have here and also call with and see how your equity is going. Like vs. 44, J6o, T9o...that kind of thing.

I never got the concept of hands that weren't threadworthy. I'd have thought a more likely candidate would be the "I just got 3bet jammed on the river with the second nuts". This 85o hand is a very common spot and it's a perfectly reasonable question with a non-trivial answer
