I am successful online 6max NLHE. I plan on going to play 2/5 NL uncapped buy in here in a week, I have played this game before, but some things I am unsure of:

When I play 6max online, I am raising or folding 100% preflop. At this live game, raising 5x the big blind gets four callers. Raising 10x after two limpers gets several callers, and the limpers tag along as well.

Continuation bets get very little credit.

So, is it best to open limp, or limp behind, any types of hands? Continuation bet less frequently, or double barrel more?

Basically, just wondering about some fundamental differences between playing live and online 6mx, especially as far as continuation bets and raising preflop goes.

the 10-11 handed live games are sooo different from the 6max online games.

here are some tips

-3betting light in position is super +ev in these live games because people will generaly give u respect for monsters at first but if they see you do this often they might tilt and flat call with hands like k8o oop lol and call you down if they pair up

basically a live 3bet for you will be like a standard online 2bet for isolatiing...

-most 2-5 live players play like a 60/3/0 6max player

-they 3bet with monsters 99% of the time (KK-AA) and if they feel like gambling sometimes they 3bet with QQ or AKs

-the most profitable way to play is laggy but if your br is tight than there's nothing is wrong with nitting things up

Btw the game you described sounds really juicy, mind telling us where it is ?

its reallllllly boring if you're not new to poker.

One of the hardest things for me transitioning to live was adjusting to the slow paced nature of it. 20-30 hands per hour but the games are the softest.

If you just used to plainyg online it will be hard to tell how loose or tight you are playing untill you find yourself limp/betting with trash like k5s Q9o... etc
