I haven't played with villain before tonight. He was ~10/7 over our small sample. This is a spot I occasionally get into and I'm not sure my overall results with this line/bluff/etc when I'm called on the flop... I usually hate bluffing unknowns but anyway,

First off, your oop facing a 3 bet with a low pocket pair, fold preflop.

Second, flop bluff is fine but just c/f turn. his flop call range doesnt have many turn fold hands.

vs someone this nitty i dont think calling is bad preflop. fwiw, it's showed me a profit in my last 500k hands.

I guess he tanked a while on the flop and so I figured maybe he floats a time with QQ/KK? And possibly folds AK? This isn't results oriented but I'm posting because I've been rethinking some spots that are standard for me but I never know why or if they are good.

this looks really bad

villain's flop continuation bet is strong
he never folds AQ/AK to a check raise and he almost never bets QQ/KK here
once he calls flop (if not preflop or on flop obviously) you should be done with the hand (other than a 5)

Pretty sure his three-bet pre was for value since he's a nit and he could've just called otb. So when he bets $60 on the flop, he usually has >= pair of Aces because he would prob check back JJ-KK or "feeler bet" them. Who would ever fold Ace King on the turn? LOL

I spent ~10 days at 50/1 and I swear to god people were folding AK in this spot or something and now I come back up to 2/4 and all the sudden people aren't actively trying to hand me money

but yeah i agree with what everyone said and this is just like a lack of brain activity on my part. Thanks for replying

Also, ATC, good point about checking behind. I like never check behind anything ever so it never occurs to me that other people may be doing so. sigh
