Also, I might want a prop at -120 but not -160.

If I post a prop at -120, and the line moves to +120, I still want it at -120.

That has been my policy. I think it makes the most sense, for the reasons I stated. I am open to suggestions for how to find the lines, especially from people interested in betting player props.

I can escrow money, that's not a problem. I want to gauge interest and figure out how to post my plays before I bother sending money.

no one is going to lay -120 on a prop where the vig free line is +120.

in the scenario you mentioned, you would say "team x -120 but no worse than -130". so if it moves to -131 no one can book you

So is the consensus that the proper way to post props is to use 5Dimes and the person who wants to bet against me fills in the updated odds at the time they accept the bet?

I am OK with that, I just thought it was worth considering the other options since player prop markets are completely different from ML markets.
