Lmao Mike sexton is commentating, he says jungleman has a tell, he checked his cards to see if he has a diamond.

Lmao, jungleman is a tell box, lmao at internet players.

I find it funny how we try switch gears when we realize how our image is changing only to be at the mercy of the poker gods all along.

So last session I'm getting a bit of a wild image. It's a tighter table and I've been opening light in LP, cbetting, then typically giving up only to hit a showdownable hand on the river. I've shown down 76s, J4s and 95o all for wins when I've binked a river pair, and even had Q high stand up as the winning hand at showdown. A couple of players are grumbling about my "craziness". So a perfect time to switch gears, sit back and wait for the goods, value bet only and get paid off. Poker is easy.

In the next two hours I don't get dealt a single premium hand, let alone barely playable ones.

PB has a tell. I've played with you before you just didn't know it. Not going to tell you what it is either. I'm the dude that stacked you.

I have no specific tells, I'm a trained killer. My tells are polarized you wouldn't know what they mean.

I didn't learn poker to socialize. I'm learning this game to be rich.

No, hammond has been by far the hardest ime. Still very beatable, just worse than MCC/Vegas.

Any tough poker game in Indiana has to be a level.

#1 Hammon is the casino for Chicago

and #2 I too have heard its good but the best action I have heard is at Winstar north of Dallas
04-11-2012 , 04:55 PM
Why? What's wrong with what I said?
04-11-2012 , 04:58 PM
Chicago is a major metropolitan area, it makes sense there would be good players about it

Yeah, considering, you know, I actually play there and you described that LATB last week as standard, you should probably just stop now. There's a lot more hold em games and money in LA going to the commerce than in Chicago. FFS, there's more 5/10 games than 1/2 most nights.

A larger player pool is going to have more fish, and more good players.

If your a good player in the midwest you won't live there for long.
04-11-2012 , 05:09 PM
See that's the thing ike, you could be a great player. But you think a game is tough if people play tight. Where I'm here to tell you the midwest is soft.

Toughest places on the planet, Borgata, commerce and the bellagio.

If you don't play at one of those places you have not seen great players on a regular basis.

Midwest soft period.

Right.... because I don't have a house or wife or anything in the midwest. Easy move.

And let's not forget that you described the latb as an average table. So you can pick what you're wrong about, i dont really give a ****.
04-11-2012 , 05:14 PM
I said the action was average, not the players.

2/4-5/10 was my home for a long time, and this will be the first year I didn't make more than 100k playing poker since 2007.

Depressing, what is your degree in?

I'll tell you what I never liked playing poker full time as a job but as a part time gig it is some nice cash. I didn't touch cards for like a year and a half and I got the itch back recently and definitely do not regret it.

I have a degree in Biomedical Engineering from UMich. I applied to medical school, but it seems like that won't work out this year. I'm retaking the MCAT on May 19th, and hopefully I don't blow it like I did last time (I got the 80th %tile when my practice tests were in the 99th). My GPA is a 3.3, but I'm a former athlete.

I'm just hopin at this point.
04-11-2012 , 05:30 PM
What position did you play at michigan soccer?
04-11-2012 , 05:33 PM
GK. I was supposed to get a tryout my freshman year, but I got sick and ended up missing the whole semester (heart and brain infections ftl). A spot wasn't open on the team my sophomore and junior year, but after winning the national championship at the club level as a junior I got an extended tryout and made the team. Played in 4-5 games and got a letter as a back up.

My body has never been the same since that heart infection. I've run a 50s flat 400 and 4:50 mile in high school, but never came close to that in college. I couldn't even run a 13 min 2 mile.
