$500 eff.

Hero in MP w/AhAc
Hero raises to $20, SB call $17

Flop: Ad4d3d
$45 (2 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $40, SB calls $40

Turn: As
$125 (2 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $85, SB calls $85

River: 7d
$295 (2 Players) SB bets $355+ and is all in, Hero calls $355

SB shows 6d5d for a straight flush

Hero shows AhAc for quad aces

Hero hangs his head in total disgust

I had been there for two hands (posted the hand before lol.)

The BBJ is starting at $7500 (casino money) and has a low qualifier (aces full of tens.) I know now that there is a black cloud following me around and I must have been a real scumbag in a previous life.

Think I could have folded the river?

c/f flop wtf are u even doing in there when u could be drawing dead aleady
12-14-2010 , 09:04 PM
every card in the deck is so bad for u as well any diamond and u lose, 4 or 3 and he prob has quads if u get signif action, that ace was the best u could see but now it turns ur hand face up and hes just drawing to his straight flush freerolling on the implied odds u offer him as a calling station

i mean look he overbet shoves and u snap him off like some ****** fish what are u doing????

I only have demi-god status. I can't even change your title.

You'd only be "******ed fish" if you folded.

dayammmmmmmmmm

tht hand would have won me 30K at my casino, very least 15K at its lowest BBJ.

sorry KUD i would probably have to masturbate furiously after tht one to get over it, missing out on the BBJ and all.

today at 1/2 4 ppl see a flop of 10-3-5r.
everbody checks to button who bets $10
SB calls and asks to check it down and button agrees
SB shows 10-9 Button shows 4-6

turn 2 river A

button then claims "i knew it was coming. yes!yes!yes!"
yeah, nh button, you had the initiative so complete control over how much money goes into the pot, and you sacrifice all of your implied odds to let the board run out as a 70-30 dog.

i love live poker

first surgery went well. cleaned out massive infection in chest cavity etc. awaiting bone scans but my dad's wounds should finally start healling. hopefully bone scans come back showing no infection in bones.

so i went back out to celebrate by playing the 5/10 NL game again. back 2 back solid wins imo. After 2 days: 5.5 hrs @ $230/hr. not sustainable, but definitely liking it. The game plays weaker than any 2/5 ive ever sat in philly or ac or unofficial card room evar.

This one is for KUD...

Just got word that a 2p2er (HotQuad) hit the table share of th BBJ a couple days ago...

Table share was worth 30K

The place he got it from has some of the biggest bbj's. 700K bbj's. Quads beat Quads+ is the qualifier.

BBJ count in this forum?

I've had a losing hand share @ live 2/4 limit for $31.5K (AA vs JJ, we both flop a set, she quads up on the river).

I've had a table share @ live 2/4 limit for $280 (straight flush vs straight flush).

I've had a hot dog share @ 4/8 limit (I missed one hand while buying a hot dog, sat down eating said hot dog as the hand played out on the river, quads vs straight flush, 100K BBJ, I'm not officially dealt in the hand but a few guys throw me a total of $300, even though my table share at this short table woulda been $5K-$6K).

So 3 BBJ tables in around 2100 hours (have to check my records to confirm hours), which is one like every 700 hours; sustainable?

I've also had 4 royal flushes in that time, unfortunately all at my local casino which doesn't have any $$$ rewards for those (two t-shirts, a travel coffee mug and a set of beer glasses).

At our places the only time a BBJ dont count is if you missed your blinds. Otherwise you still get table share..

A while back two players missed the blinds, the bbj of course hits... they run back to the table and try to pocket the missed blind buttons so they can get paid... instead they got a law suit.

Wow, this is a decent rule, methinks; I should suggest that to our poker room. We already have a third-man-walking rule (i.e. you can't, unless it's for a quick bathroom break) so I don't think it would be taken advantage of (especially since a missed blind button would void your share).

The hot dog share happened to hit while I was in New Orleans on business, so I was a total out-of-towner and not a regular, so I didn't expect to get paid. Funny, there was one other guy not dealt in the hand (Memphis Charles he called himself) and he came back during the hoopla. He quietly picks up the "out-of-hand" button in front of him and gives me the eye "don't say nuthin' buddy", and I just laugh and tell him they're going to go to the cameras anyways; that's when it hit me I probably wasn't dealt in too. Kinda a sick feeling to be at a 100K BBJ table when you know you ain't gonna see any of it (as hard as Memphis Charles lobblied for us to the regs that hit the hand).
12-15-2010 , 03:00 PM
ive been 1 card away from a BBJ 4 times, once w/ 2 cards to come. never hit it.
i guess i run bad??

i need to hit just to get my $ back; at Lucky Chances they drop $2 per hand for the BBJ, which is robbery.

My old $50 home game may be starting back up as a regular game. The hosts found some new players/fish that are eager to play a steady game.

Met the one guy at a Christmas Party. Seemed eager to tell me how great of a player he was, and repeatedly said that he won't try to break us all too fast so the game can run a while.
Oh dear. He has no idea what he is getting into when he arrives. This game is a rotating collection of regulars plus newbies. Most there would say I am by far the best of the group, due to experience and a better theoretical understanding of the game. Two other guys (the hosts) are well above your average 1/2 player, but they don't quite put the time in to be a 2+2 type, although both have the ability.
The rest are passive uber fish. They are highly exploitable and I have learned over time how to profit from them, but if this guy tries to run the table over he will be in for a shock when he three barrels into a check/called flopped boat. LOL.

Did I mention that Back To The Future is one of my all time favorite series (Indian Jones is up there)? My wife got it for me on Blu-Ray. How do I know she did? I read souls. (and I snoop a lot)
