I never said it was hard. If you're making 20 at 1/2 you're limiting yourself. Everyone here says they make it but I don't believe them. At least mpethy tells the truth he is around 17 or 18 and that's crushing.

1/2 is usually the biggest game I don't have any other options.

The table makes $36 a round that's crushing rake.

You have no ceiling. Which means the best you can be is a 1/2 player. Hard to save playing that game. You can't even move on that income.

I understand what you are saying. Fortunately I live in the Midwest in one of the top ranked cities to live in, don't have any kids, and my wife makes a great income making way more than me while also providing benefits.

Ilcd is bad w women??$

And yeah, we b$eat nits by folding when they twll us there hand is big, unless we have a monster
10-19-2012 , 03:34 PM
yea seriously. "i'm going to crush this super nit", isn't really possible. You can not pay them off, let the rake eat them away, and laugh when they think QQ<AA is a cooler. Or bottom set versus something > bottom set is a cooler etc. But crushing them really isn't possible, unless they are hugely weak tight as well.

I'm a cheater, and like big booty's. I need to screen these hoes like a job application. Should be only looking for girls with good credit, college credentials and no street smarts. Sounds like a world class women to me, lolololol.

Why do you have it out for her / even care?

I guess I can think of one reasonable answer (if she's not at the table, it opens up a seat for a worse player, which is +EV).

Speaking of women: I saw another young lady the other day (this makes 3 or 4) strutting through the casino as if she were on a fashion runway. I'm talking about the whole nine yards-- kicking her legs out, dropping her shoulders a good several inches, and feet crossing in front of one another.

It ranks among the most ridiculous things I have ever seen a person do. When a model does it on a runway, you can accept it as part of the performance art of the fashion world. But when you see a regular girl just walking around like that, she looks like an idiot who doesn't understand that she's not a contestant on America's Top Model.

Well I can think of one other profession where this is not unheard of - you sure she was a "regular girl" as opposed to pay for play?

Reasonably certain none of the idiots I've seen doing this are working girls. shopping bags, obvious boyfriends, in a gaggle of other girls. Stuff like that.

Try online dating sites. I see an unusual amount of taller (5'8+) ladies on there.

5/10 2k max

Villian is older reg (40s) who is capable of hand-reading. Haven't played with him much but assume he is a slight winner because he plays straightforward solid poker up to this point. No relevant history.

He raises to 50 UTG+2 (we are 2k eff) and I call BTN with 109.

1068 he bets 60 I call.

Turn (220)10683 he checks I check it back.
I don't really like betting here because his overcards have like ~10% equity vs my hand and he may be just playing an overpair for a c/c because the flush hit.

River(220)10683A
He bets 125 and I thought and raised to 430

I think my raise sizing is too big because he probably isn't looking me up at all. I think this is a really good spot to exploit someone who is trying to valuebet me thinly. How can he ever have more then 1 pair in this spot? I also find that these type of regs can view me capable of playing a flush this way (probably not too often) but they won't ever really have a tendecy to hero call because they realize top pair only beats bluffs.

Good raise?
Bet the turn. Don't like river. You rep like nothing. In his spot I think I could 3-bet river with a bunch of hands that I can't call with (and also turned nuts that missed a c/r).

Agree with betting the turn, but people good enough to vbet light can also call light, so I don't like river regardless.

"Intimidating your opponents" is lol. I'm constantly shuffling chips out of boredom. It's a habit and I don't consciously think about it anymore. Just grab a stack of 20 and go through it.
