If V had an Ace, I woulda heard about it PF from him, as
he's super aggro.
Bet pot, he calls obv drawing.
Turn is gin, a 6, no flushdraw.
He checks, and I ship it.
(started w 100bb stacks 2/5)
he calls,
shouts "gimme a deuce",
and flips up the 35 off.
GG.

This guy moved back to 3/6 limit.
Charlie Sheen s that story. Epic winning.

@ calidonks,

I just wanted to say that the only reason you haven't moved up to $5-10 is because you use your winning to pay bills.

It sounds like you win at least $2k/mo. So if you saved all of that, after a year, you would have $24K, which is enough to take a few swings at $5-10.

yea but i guess if your a pro you have no choice. another reason why its so hard to be a pro at 2/5 solely.

I think it's funny when people make fun of my home game for being 10/25c, and they tell me about their friends game that's 0.5/$1 - Ill ask them what they buyin for and they'll say "Like $30" WTF yeah big stakes! I buyin for $40 in my game

Also, when a player playing $1/$2 makes a comment about how the game is too small and they're going to move to $3/$5. I'll often ask what they buyin for and they'll be like $200

It cracks me up so much.

Ill have players say "Yeah, i'd come and play but all that quarter stuff is too small for me, im going to play at Joe's game"

Where joes game is a 0.5/1 where people buyin for $25-$40 lol

I guess when stacks are 20-40bbs you will get more all ins, but damn

ya, been thinking lately that it would be cool to start a home game thats
.50/1.00, or even .25/.50
so everyone can buy in super-deep,
and the point would be to play poker.
need to get more chips, though.

Most casual players don't want to play poker. They want to gamble at a poker game. It is also one case where a weak player's instincts are correct. They are far better off playing a 20-40 BB game than playing a deeper game

OMG I also just have to get this out there. I was sitting at the table next to this one guy who was among the worst players i have ever seen for his age group (he was prolly mid-20s). This guy would limp 90% of hands, complain when people raised, call the raises, and then play fit or fold post flop while talking about how strong/weak his hand was... I think he dumped like 500 in 3 hours to the table...

My fav part was when I called a raise from MP with 77 in the BB, and he called in SB and the flop was AKJ. He just open folds and yellls "see? what can i do with that flop...", in the meantime I pick up on MP being a bit scared and turn 77 into a bluff and lead for 2/3 pot to take it down...

Also he would get down to like $50 stack size but wouldn't adjust his strategy to "shortstacking" which made me LOL really hard inside. He would call off like 20% of stack with 67 suited, chase draws (by check calling), I actually felt a bit sad for the kid.

Thanks for the endorsement that I'm not a pedo. Was nice meeting you, and thanks for taking the time to meet me at the Venetian. Totally standard to buy you two drinks after driving down to the strip on a week night when you have to work the next day imo.

Vegas.... yeeesh.

Just a quick poker TR: luck boxed by getting the best table I've ever been at in my life. To begin with I was sitting to the direct left of some guy from Boston who was raising 100% of hands. And not to 20 or 25, just random amounts with whatever amount of chips he could grab. Good start to the night, after he busted and rebusted and rebusted I started paying more attention to the rest of the table, and found that two of the people there were from China and one from Malaysia. They were all incredibly nice and bad at poker so it was great making some conversation with them and getting them to stick around the table, and bsing in Chinese they thought it was pretty funny a white guy was trying to speak it. After a few Knob Creek and waters they thought it was even funnier. Pretty sure that if we weren't talking the game would've died down earlier, but as it happened we managed to play until about 10am when I couldn't stay awake anymore and had to go.

So I can only withdraw 300 dollars a day at my bank, and don't keep any USD in China as it's worthless, so before the game I withdrew 300 then at exactly 12:00 I withdrew another 300 to sit at this game. Sat down with 600 dollars, after 10 hours of play cashed out 3750. Great night.

Wish the bar tabs and strippers didn't take as much as they did, but that's bound to happen at a bachelor party. Great trip though.

I'll be in Denver this weekend, I remember a few guys here said they were in CO although I think CO Springs, but if anyone is interested in a game let me know I'll be playing on Thursday and maybe Saturday.

Thanks again for taking the time to meet up J

Text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to help the folks in Japan. That text will send $10. $10 aint crap especially to poker players. I know what its like to be in a devistating circumstance and not knowing if family members are alive. $10 one time doesnt fix every problem but a collective effort does. Please donate to either this or another of your choosing.

Tonight I get seated and will be UTG and debate on waiting for the button to pass so I can play for free. I decide not to and in my BB I get JJ with a QJ677 board vs. nut flush that came in on the river. EZ Game.

why do ppl even listen to self-styled young poker coaches
on training sites
who admit that they dropped out of some Ivey league college that their
parents paid for to play poker???

obv they have no concept of value.
I think it's amazing that they think they are soooo smart.
sometimes really smart ppl do really dumb sh@#*yt.
so how smart are they really?
how many poor kids (would be achievers) would love to have that oppurtunity for an education,
and these rich kids throw it away because
they are running like God for a year or two at pokers.
LOL.
sorry, I don't want ANY advice from that guy.
there are some good coaches,
don't get me wrong,
but theres some goldbrickers, too. (BW??)
