Why the hate for United?

Just curious. Ive flown them 2 times longhaul from Norway to Vegas with a stop at Newark, and have no complaints at all.

One time our plane from Oslo got delayed so we missed our connecting flight from Newark to Vegas, but United handled it pretty flawless. United got hotel reservation 20 minutes away from airport ready to pick up at the service desk when we arrived at Newark, and 3x $20 dollar food coupons each person to cover for both dinner plus breakfast next morning before the first flight to Vegas.

Love their new 737-900 planes too with the spitfire winglets and how fresh it looks inside.

Geez, can't I go on vacation without you folks politrolling the **** out if this thread?

I post this publicly as PMs don't seem to have sunk in:

11t, stop with the supercilious ad hominem attacks. Feelie described what you are doing that is obnoxious very well, so I won't explain further. If you continue to do that, you'll eat a ban.

Giltruci, stop with the "Trump pwns! Suck it!" posts. No, the fact that politics were already being discussed doesn't excuse it. Right: Someone complains about a new Trump proposal, you respond with "I actually like that. I understand that you probably don't like the way it was tweeted, but look at the idea behind it. It could really work.". Wrong: Someone posts about a completely different politician, you respond with "speaking of politics, Hahahaha cry salty tears liberals! Trump rules and his rants are epic.". If you don't understand the difference, I strongly urge you never to post about politics ITF again. I have zero patience for further thread aids, and will ban you if repeated.

Everyone else, stop taking the bait.

Well aside from you know:
-killing more pets than any other airline per year
-Beating and forcibly removing a passenger from an overbooked flight
-kicking off several others that were special needs off flights
-crap seat space and service in general compared to alternatives

and just not giving a F regards to any of the things they've done and continue to do. I refuse to give them money voluntarily.

I've ran pretty good with United. Last few times I flew with them I usually had good seats with plenty of leg room and an empty seat next to me. One time I had two empty seats next to me.

I refuse to fly budget airlines who can't give you water. I understand I'm paying more but that just seems unacceptable plus United usually tends to be the cheapest option for my routes anyway.

I can’t think of any airline I have strong feelings for in a good or bad way. They all just feel the same to me now.

Used to really like Southwest, now they aren’t much different than the rest.

I fly SWA pretty much exclusively and it’s worked great.

I like JetBlue if it's one of their newer planes.

Fw: I will have to try those two. Since Cathay are based in hk it is almost always the most convenient for me. Also once i forgot to book a ticket out of some country which requires it and the person checking me in just "purchased" a ticket for me which would automatically be canceled and refunded after a week. Been very loyal since that.

All: i feel like i am entering a new stage of the olds. About a week ago on facebook a good friend of mine in college had a post about her "becoming her own ceo" and a bunch of other stuff which i am sure can be guessed. Yesterday she posted an ad for en eye lash extender and today posted a skin rejuvinator.
08-12-2018 , 01:45 PM
Has she tried to catch up with you to let you know about an exciting opportunity?
08-12-2018 , 01:49 PM
Not yet other than the exciting opportunities to extend my eyelashes and rejuvinate my skin.

sorry for your loss BGP

I found this informational mlm quote

As network marketers we often run into doubters, dream stealers, yes even ridicule. So we need inspiration, encouragement, approval and assurance. We need those bigger than us strengthening us in our belief that we are in the right place doing the right thing for US.

it seems to me you both are dream stealers. I am quite certain that your pal is super excited about her eyelash extender and the skin rejuvinator is prolly the best skin product she has ever had the pleasure of using...

This reminded me of a Spirit story. Though it coulda happened to anyone.

I was leaving New Orleans with my ex and two other women. We were there for work. I remember we'd gotten to walk around the French Quarter and the other women literally went into the first tourist trap store and spent an hour buying merchandise that was identical to what is sold at home, except it says Pobody's Nerfect in New Orleans instead of Pobody's Nerfect in Vegas. Then they went back to the hotel.

Anyway, my partner was flying in on the same plane we were flying out on. He gets off the plane and tells me the flight was a nightmare. Someone brought a feelings animal on the plane and it had horrific intestinal issues. Farting up a storm. diarrhea out the wazzoo. He said nothing ever really grosses him out, but he was gagging.

Shortly after this, our flight is canceled. They didn't tell us why but it was pretty obvious.

We had to get a hotel, as did almost everyone else, I'm sure. Spirit gave us some vouchers later, after a bit of work. but we lost some money and time. It was probably more costly for the average passenger, who had their Vegas weekend cut in half.

+1,000 that the self absorbed person who brought their pet on a plane felt a shred of remorse. +1,000,000 that this prevented them from doing so again.

Emotional support dogs and the people who need them are perfectly fine and valid, though there should be better regulation surrounding the issue to prevent abuse.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

there’s a thing called an ‘emotional support dog’ that you’re allowed to take on planes?

I'm not sure if emotional support dogs are allowed. But I know medical support dogs are, I believe.

Is Boulder at altitude? I guess not so bad if you’re also training at alt.

My brother is running the Leadville 100 (again) next weekend which sounds totally ****ing ******ed. He’s 50 this year and I cannot believe this is healthy

Can’t go 0/6 in fairways hit and make many birdies. He is everywhere with the driver.

I guess that's a great idea, if you consider the 1/1 game your taper.
