Some players are intrinsically good at playing poker but have a hard time teaching. They make plays based on gut instincts that tend to be right. However they aren't solid on their equities and can't look at the game analytically. Obviously you wouldn't want this player as a coach.
On the other hand if someone is a great thinker but lacks the consistency or emotional stability of a big winner, well he could still be an excellent coach.
Ok whatever. I am the best FR player up to 5/10 nl, and I am almost positive I would be a good coach, better than 99% of the coaches in terms of teaching, since I know exactly why I make the plays I do, etc.
Is it realistic to charge 800/hr, and will you personally help me set up a website to promote my coaching?
