My point is that if you deposit a $1000 (or some larger amount) on paypal it will be sitting there in advance of you needing it. You can think of it as a buffer so you don't really need for future bank transfers to clear.

Well, no. I don't think the amounts someone bets necessarily makes them a better or worse person than someone else. But, who doesn't derive value in life from their financial position in life? I can bet the amounts I do which make me feel better than if I couldn't. Not comparing myself to anyone else, but rather myself. You are on a poker/gambling site and think it's messed up that people derive value from how much they gamble, have, make etc, etc? I mean, wouldn't you derive some value in life if you were playing $10k tournaments rather than $1k or $100 or whatever (this isn't saying you do specifically, just a hypothetical)? Or if you had a business, wouldn't you derive more value in making $500k in a year vs $200k? That's pretty much everyone. Who doesn't derive value in that sort of stuff? Do I think it makes me better than you or anyone else? Actually, no, I don't.

The first thing I said about the amount you bet is something along the lines of me saying it won't bother me that I can't bet your "$100 college basketball" or something to that effect when you said you would no longer will accept my bets. This actually wasn't a putdown. I seem to have remembered that you like to bet CBB (and I really don't, at least, I don't put up my own lists. I may swap for them, though.) I just said the amount of $100 without a whole lot of thought as to whether it was a minimum, average, maximum, whatever. I seem to remember that whenever you and I bet they are either $100 or $200. I just plugged a number. You took exception to that and I went with it and knew I could push your buttons by calling you a "minion". It seemed to have worked, but the original line of not sweating being able to book your "$100 CBB bets" really wasn't a put down.

I see your lists and as I recall they are $100 - $300 or something along those lines. I remember in the summer when I was really getting into this thread, you were one of my favorite people to watch because you would post your MLB list and would usually include plenty of games. I love it when people do that. Makes it way more fun and more likely I will get action or find action.

Yes, I do apologize for hurting your feelings. I said some things out of spite when things got heated. You can take me at my word or not that it really wasn't meant to start out that way. I think you and I are both good guys, trustworthy bettors, and probably a little too short-tempered. We butt heads. There were some misunderstandings on both sides. I am more than willing to put all of this behind us and move forward. For full thread disclosure, I have sent him exactly one pm since Monday evening and it was to offer a truce. It was not responded to. I understand if you don't want to have anything to do with me. I am trying to put this behind us and move forward. I hope you meet me halfway.
