This. I did it last week in one fell swoop so I could accurately account for the time and all told everything was between 2 and 2.5 hours, with almost all of it due to discrepancies. I'm more interested in getting that time back than I am in getting paid for it.

I would like to submit my name to replace billy but i am not as benevolent as him to do it for free. I would propose a weekly fee with a royalty going to billy for use of the machine.

I also will be ruthless in insisting that people do not post lists or book bets until they have their numbers in. If you dont want that, I should not be hired

Think one option is the discrepancies run once (maybe Tuesday) and that’s it. Everyone has to work it out then for the machine by Thursday morning.

Still need a solution for keeping track of discrepancy resolutions so billy doesn’t have to keep up with the thread.

I will no action anyone for the week that doesn’t get their numbers in.

Also will give Billy a $300 swap every week. Just @me when you post.

Not sure any of this is enough but at least worth discussing.

Billy, you have been a great help to the thread with the swap machine. Recently, I was thinking how swaps via the old ways really sucked.

I would go with the group and contribute in anyway to keep your services.

If I'm correct in the mechanics of the swap machine, running the numbers through the machine isn't the part that takes time/effort.

We need to have someone be the "Discrepancy Arbiter" who posts the list of discrepancies from neutrally posted tabs, and updates their resolutions. Then that person sends the final list with discrepancies resolved to Billy and he runs the numbers through the machine, and copy/pastes the results in the thread.

If we’re bidding I’d do it for 450 a week and I can do line work as well. I also need a third job and have the extra time now that I’m not working on my handicapping models all day

I'm happy to pay for discrepancies where I'm wrong. Not going to pay where I post the correct #. If we are both too lazy to check and it's chop for a small amount would obv pay.

From what I can gather, we basically need a volunteer rotation that is willing to solve all discrepancies, format them together in whatever format Billy determines works for him, and send those to him on Friday morning so he can run the swap machine on Fridays.

I'd be fine joining this rotation, if we get 10 of us to sign up, it means we have to do it 5 weeks a year which isn't bad.

In all honesty, the thread operated completely fine BSM (Before Swap Machine) and I think after a week or 2 we will all be fine doing it how we did. Nobody is going anywhere.

Oh yeah good point. No one should be penalized for posting correct number.
