Steve, first I got to admit you have been super decent with everything you have done itt. But you are still new here... I am in this thread for like 10 years, just may be 4-5 people left itt who is still here with good reputation and credibility for the same period of time.

Regarding "give out loans", this thread which we use for vfl betting saves average bettor very large amount over the year vs regular online sportsbook or bookie service.
You can always use online sportsbook who will do automated grading, charge you fee on every deposit, limit your payout limits, and may be will send you payment if you request within 1.5 weeks and def charge you a vig which is very hard to beat. So, saying that you give out a loan to some reputable members of the thread who post numbers late, but still pay you on time, and give you action is a bit wrong.

I see quite a few people complain, so you all may group together as super discipline members and bet with each other which will make few of you go busto in a short time for various of reasons and then some of you will face new problems with collecting debts.
I am not saying it is right not to post numbers on time... I have been guilty of posting numbers on Wednesday 80% of the time, but....

now I am going to refer to another member of the thread - jaba- who also has been very decent from the time he joined the thread, who said once that betting with me who post numbers often late is a hassle....

Hassle is betting with not vouched, not escrowed or some shady individuals who use some back door way to join the thread and nobody catch them on time... rest is just having benefits of vfl betting with ability to be instantly paid every week if you are winning.

I agree with much of your post. The thread is great.

I think we are both referencing different degrees of hassle. My loan comment was glib. Habitual late number posters may not always appreciate the domino effect it has on others. And there are people willing to help with numbers. The whole thing falls apart if we all wait until Wednesday or whatever to post.

I think Steve has a point guessing in reference to housenut requesting payment when a large positive balance with someone unverified is hanging out there and instead of negatives being swapped down they get larger and makes more work because of them not posting. Same thing happening with me with housenut had 200 balance and now is 500 and zeta/fub/crispy owe twice as much as that and all unverified , so I will wait to swap.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with asking people to be on top of their numbers. This isn’t a case of new people complaining quickly. It’s just being considerate of others.

just one important thing to add, most of the regs who post numbers late if requested will ship balance first and then will work out all the discrepancies.

Regarding numbers I'm definitely habitually late but that goes both ways, I've been weeks behind on tabs where I'm owed like 10k. Not that it's excusable either way but still. I do make it a point to never bet without having numbers in, and I think that should become an actual thread rule.

Also gavel bang NEW THREAD RULE if you are not current with numbers as of thread standard deadline you are BANNED booking or posting wants in the main thread. This includes me much to my chagrin

If anyone is CAUGHT BOOKING OR POSTING in the main thread that is in violation of the rules, the first person to call them out gets a free $100 bet on me. jokes kinda on you because i'll probably not see it and then not post numbers until wednesday and then there will be a 100 discrepancy that i'll probably take a week to figure out but it's the thought that counts.

i guess we should establish the deadline now too. whenever billy decides to do thread deadbeats posts seems like the only reasonable thing to do. it's his creation that's led us to this new era of not having to swap manually. it's entirely up to him, it's arbitrary and not up for debate, and he is not bound by god or men as to when he decides to post the deadbeat list.

I'm fine with changing the time if it will help enforce the rules you guys are enacting. I'm only going to post once per day tho, and it will be consistent Mon to Thurs-the 3 options I would offer would be morning EST like I have been doing, noon, or ~4-5pm.

I think someone else should get the deadbeat tabs then if after Thursday am, as zeta said he sent his numbers Thursday night and then nothing is posted until on early Sunday. Not ur fault but that’s three days discrepancies could have been reviewed and payments sent now everyone will say f it just roll to next week.

i recommend looking into venmo and see if they charge a fee for any canadian customers. also see if any banks are on the ZELLE network
