whatever u do, don't buy the sports one, I bought a 2008 Infiniti G35s and the sport seats are awful and uncomfortable. They are way too small and made for like 5'3 japanese people who are super skinny (and i'm not a big guy).

Basacally its like a very small seat and 1 thing on each side which comes up to "keep u secure". Only problem is the seat is obv very small and u basacally end up sitting on the things that come up and it's super uncomfortable. I ended up taking a 4k hit and trading it in for a BMW 535 cause I hated the seats so much and def like the BMW a lot more although the BMW isn't perfect either and when I go over 75 mph it's hard to keep straight cause every slight move on the steering wheel turns the car.

On the Infiniti:

Guys, I'm 5'7 lol, no car is too small for me. I don't want a 4-door car period, so no on any sedan models. I am also poor, so no on anything more baller. I am decently hot in cards recently, and if I actually keep my play going, then maybe I can trade in in the summer and get something different if I absolutely hate the car, but I doubt I will.

Some genius in this forum once said "new cars are for suckers"

He was right. Figure out why, and get a pos car with some character

Thank me later

Schwal,

I purchased a brand new car a few years ago. At the time it was the only thing I considered doing. However, I HIGHLY recommend you buy a 1 or 2 year old used car.

For all intents and purposes it is brand new. There is a massive depreciation hit that is taken in the first couple of years.

Save yourself $10k and thank me later. I know I am right. Even if I become uber wealthy I will probably never buy another brand new car, it is a very foolish financial decision.

Also.....if you decide to take my sagely advice, you will now have the option to purchase many other cars because they will now fit in your price range.

Haha I was already buying an 06 or 07, not anything newer.

I don't think I necessarily want other cars. Like I want something with good technology, really good handling, and somewhat sporty/flashy. Corvette is too much sport/speed with no real benefits other than looks, and many of the BMW's are too common around here and many are above my budget too. Infiniti and Audi seemed like good mediums, but I think I like Infiniti better

fwiw I bought a G35 and I still like it alot.

mamba speaks the truth.

I'm thinking of buying a new ride while I'm in the states after WSOP. Hopefully I'll have enough cash on me.

oh come on this is ridiculous, first off u have no clue what the owner of the car did previously and especially if it's a nice fast car it prob has over a 60 percent chance that the owner "beat it up" before he traded it in.

Also on new cars u can pick the color/all the options u want, when buying a used car it's almost impossible to find everything u want.

This is dumb too, new cars are for suckers for people who don't have money, yes I agree with that. For someone who is making at least say 150k a year (and have like 100k+ saved up) it's far from being a sucker.

new cars are actually awesome..... if you dont mind wasting money. its a luxury like any other. you are paying for everything to be pretty much personalized just like epip said. something that is highly underated is the lovely smell of a new car. yes, i said it, the smell! and its always fun the grind the salesman to a point where his manager has to step in and blah blah blah. just the whole act of buying a car is a lost art but its fun as hell. do you guys really need 4gigs of ram? or 2 24" monitors? a car is obviously on the much larger scale of "wasting money" but most here are profiting players so whats a couple bucks on something youll enjoy? rather spend it on that then 5$ a day on cigs, 5$ starbuck habit, etc. you get the point. money spent that makes you happy = money well spent!

+1. I recognize that depreciation is huge once the car is off the lot, but I really don't mind paying that premium to get exactly what I want and to know the car is in pristine condition. I haven't bought a new car since 04 and I know the certified pre-owned crap has taken off since then so maybe that changes things some.

Didnt we have this argument a couple months ago when epip was trying to justify buying a new car every 6 months or something crazy like that?
