i also heard that people are starting to slowroll monster hands against shorties. i have done this a few times, but sort of feel bad about it after. then i do it again the next time anyway. i guess i feel that if we have to be annoyed by playing with them, they should have to feel the same way. whats everyones thoughts on this.

sounds slightly far fetched cause there's like 8 of them tops, not 20,000 shorties.

Maybe its like the MIT of Germany bringin down the house!?

anyone know what the winrates are like at 400nl 6max? From the research I have done, it seems that the best plrs at 6max have winrates from 2-3 ptbb/100 where 9max is 3-4ptbb/100. Am I close to right on this?

No, not close at all. Where did you pull this figure from? You seriously think the very best players at 2/4 6max have 2-3ptbb winrates? The only thing close to correct is the 3-4 for 9 max, but I would guess some regs are closer to 4-5 depending on how well they table select. This is all of course in ref to long term winrates and large samples of the best players at those stakes.

i am not sure at all about 6max winrates. i am basing this off my observed db of 400nl 6max as well as that website that doesnt catch everything... pokerplayer winnings.com.

so what are the best 6max multi tablers making?
08-03-2008 , 05:45 AM
Arent we in the FR forum here?

I don't understand why that site has to be so inaccurate.

I remember when there used to be several 10/20 and 25/50 FR games going regularly. Now they're almost never going and, if there is, it's just one table. WTF? Is there a reason these have died off so much in 2008?

The results are a lot better since July. It is not perfect and some hands are still missing, but at least it gives us some quick information.

If you play NL1000 and you see a new guy at the table, with a quick search you can know if he is a regular from a lower limit who is taking a shot, what style he plays, if he is a new NL Holdem player on Full Tilt, if he is a higher stakes player who is playing "low" because he is drunk, etc...

It is a good tool imo. 100% of the hands are maybe not there, but the % is higher since july.

For the NL2k games, we had few tables EVERY NIGHT at the end of 2007.

For the NL5k side, one answer: Mike Matusow. It was his regular "online" game around 6 months ago. He lost SO MUCH money there that he decided to stop playing NL Holdem online... so the game died too...

Seriously, I'm thinking about moving to Poker Stars...

Eh, maybe George Bush is to blame. FTP needs to remedy this by launching a massive PR campaign in Moscow.

toaffk is prob hated by most regs. it seems his style is to only play hands vs the good regs. its like hes ******ed. instead of focusing on the fish, he focuses on winning from good plrs. this makes him a break even player who plays strictly for rakeback.

Logically this makes zero sense. Everyone has a high WR vs the fish. If you play the other regs tough and show a profit against the majority of them then it follows you will make even more $.
