LOL. I'm here. I've just been retooling my game down at 1/2 (seemed like the more prudent thing to do), so I haven't been playing 2/4+ as much.

Andrew, let me know what you end up getting. I already have a laptop that I got a few months ago form the store, and I was thinking about playing with my HUD on an external SSD drive (something Ghostbeef mentioned a while back). Not sure what the best set-up is either. Are you going anywhere fun?

If you're going to do that, though, you should try to figure out a way to do it on an iPhone. You would be a legend.
hahaha. i've actually been winning while mass tabling. just that my winrate has been suffering. after having 6digit swing from grinding 30hands/hr, i'm starting to enjoy the luxury of being dealt 2000/hr. Looking forward to taking a long break from live so i can focus more playing online and also ship SNE while I'm at it. 09 was a big fail for me considering how much time i put in grinding live. We should trade info. PM me ur aim sn. Not that I want to be ur best friend, i just want to know who u are. Keep ur enemies close yamean?

Haha, good to know ur still here. Shopping for laptop can be quite tricky since it's not like desktop where u can upgrade it without a problem. SSD should be a must for poker player though

I don't have any vaca planned. I'm going to Cali on January and maybe Macau although i'm trying to avoid casino atmosphere atm. I'll hit and run notfreemoney's crib sometime around there. Shortstacking his new crib sounds brilliant. I just figured i'm getting abit older and I don't want to be ur age thinking all the stuff i should've took advantage of with the freedom I have now. Going to new places would bring me out of my comfort and that's what I want. That being said, I'll pass if ur gonna ask me to visit u. Not looking to baby sit ur kids

Have a good time - you should definitely enjoy your free time because if you ever get married and have kids, that'll tie you down for like 20 years. Take NFM with you. :-) If you guys are ever in southern CT, let me know.

ahh, sorry. Didn't notice that was one of your reqs. I'll let you know if I find anything else. Sager's are a pretty good choice outside of the dell's of the world. It might be your only choice for what you're lookin for.

So I found out that this function existed from SSFR. A list of how often people posted ITT...

As I said in my 2K post, I really need to get a life. :-)

Yea that was going to my pick untill i came across Dell Precision 6500. Price is so outrageous being around 6k with all the upgrade. Sager spec is good but its too fat and ugly... =[ I'm going to wait and do alot of research before purchasing..

Andrew quick question... If you're going to be playing 30+ tables across 2 sites, what programs are you using for an auto timebank? I cant find one that works for FTP without messing something else up.

poker shortcuts works for tiling

I use table ninja FT. I'm not sure if the time bank is 100% for Stacking. I have sessions where I have 1-3 tables sitting out when i'm closing my tables. It's deff more reliable then PSC for sure.

check out the dell outlet (outlet.dell.com). I just checked and there are a ton of precision 6400's up there for ~$2k that look pretty solid. I bought an XPS off of the outlet site a few months ago for basically 1/2 price and you can't tell the difference from a new one.

It's only 100% if you have Aero theme for Vista/Win7.

Wow, this thread truly is busto if I am anywhere near the top 20. Congrats on your epic post count - truly well earned.

Never asked you this Dfly, but do you have any interest in being included on any home game invitations? I play with a fairly large group of people in the area - there are probably 2-3 games per week (although I only play once or twice a month). Standard 200nl no fold em super soft home game. Good people - mostly investment guys, doctors, lawyers, etc - friendly game. Probably less exciting for you to play a social game of poker if poker is your job, but for us hobbyists it is good to get out and socialize a bit in a +ev environment.

Anyway, just let me know if you're interested and I'll keep you updated.

from Doug:

Since we aren't going to be able to give those promised changes by the end of the year, I at least wanted to give a little information about the nature of the changes, so some of the speculation can end. To answer the most commonly asked question: we *are* going to raise the minimum buy-in on standard (no icon) tables. That’s not all we’re going to do, but that’s the biggest change. And that's all I can say about that until the update.

Whee!

was gonna say, make sure you set your windows theme to aero. I've never had tableninjaFT miss a time bank when its on. I have, however, been in the beginning of a session not realized my tableninjaFT was off and let an AA go to "time bank". That was pretty much insta-tilt at beginning of a session.

I basically tile tables tho.

i predict (hopefully I am sadly, sadly mistaken) that imfromsweden will quickly rise and surpass dfly in this list.

I might just take the next month off to celebrate. FTP 2/4 is almost unplayable half the day as is.
