Well I guess there's really no point in asking the MSNL forum, but whatever. I'm desperate cuz I have a speech tomorow about plaster and I'm not prepared at all.

So, I'm gonna hold a speach about Ca2SO4, better known as plaster. Found some info here, But I'm certinly not an expert in English.

Is the chemical writing for Plaster "CaSO4· 2 H2O", and it's ONLY called plaster when it's mixed (or is it even mixed?) with water, or is plain CaSO4 also called Plaster? In case it's not, what is it called then?

God I'm so confused right now I'm gonna epic fail, I know nothing about Plaster. Fuuuuck. Heeeelp!

first paragraph of the first link off google for "plaster caso4"

"As you know, plaster results from the calcination of gypsum (CaSO4, 2 H2O), which partially dehydrates to produce a hemi-hydrate (CaSO4 , ˝ H2O)."

CaSO4 is Calcium Sulfate and is not the same thing as when two molecules of H20 are added
