There's some truth to this. I had the scariest cab ride of my life there once.

The worst part is that the fact that this guy didn't have a real cab or cab license isn't the scariest part.

lol did you give him a fifty? not giving change is kind of notorious with them, and i have been repeatedly told they did not have change for a 20 (usually 5-10 bucks in change) and when i tell them to go **** themselves, either give me my change or i'm just leaving, they usually find some in some kind of back pocket they forgot about or some ****. they also never take credit cards because the reader is "broken"

I don't remember with the cabbie, the busto bill breakdown was for the 50c toll.

I probably just gave him a $50, who knows. I gave another one $15 tip on $35 fare and he scoffed at me. I was a little taken aback. If it wasn't 5:30AM at the airport, I would have asked for the tip back.

It was ridiculous driving, though. Like 11PM on a thursday night cruising through the streets at what felt like 60mph, dodging pedestrians and delivery trucks. I have no idea how he squeezed between some of the lanes that were blocked by semi tucks. And then an epic pass on a freeway exit. Cloverleafs aren't usually perfect circles, they kind of get narrower and have an apex where the turn is way sharper. This mother ****er pulls right up next to the other (real) cab and like pulls some Speed Racer type of **** to pass the guy. Thanks for saving me literally 3.2 seconds, bro.
