ghetto just pm'd me to try and talk ****. ghetto plz come to any of my tables on tilt or stars and play me. if you want to talk **** lets throwdown, I'd love to you have in the game because reg fish are always fun.

but congrats on your accomplishments in 2009, by hovering over your computer 16hrs a day to find fish, idiotic beratings in chat, and ******ed posts in 2p2 you are quickly becoming one of the most well known douchebag bumhunters in MHFR and MSNL. cheers to being hated and disrespected by both the recreational players and the regs.

Btw, I was reading a post in IP and they were saying how limit poker and FR nlhe were very popular, and now it's dying. Do you guys think FR is dying? I haven't noticed a huge change in number of tables (altho I haven't played much 2/4+ the past 2 months)! But if anything, there seemed to be more tables than a year ago. Idk, FT has expanded a lot, so maybe the growth in 6max >>> growth in FR? I was planning to start playing some 6max later this year, but FR seems better for multitabling.

On the Euros sites, FR poker is completely DEAD at 3-6 and over. You will see a couple of tables from time to time, but that's it. Most of the regs and me switched to 6max during 2009.

IMO, the same thing will happen on FTP and Stars in 2010.

pretty sure he actually died a few years ago, but they just roll him out every year and pull a "Weekend at Bernie's" on him.

nah I disagree (could be wrong though). there will always be a niche for FR poker, and right now thost games are going to go on the biggest sites. I don't think FR is going to expand anymore, but if anything it grew during 2009. when I started mass tabling at the beginning of the year there were considerably less games going on avg than there were this fall and the last month or so.

but I do agree with you that 6max will continue to dominate and more and most regs will eventually learn to play both. I started as a pro in LHE and cut my NL teeth at 6max so I have a little experience with both. LHE on the other hand really is having trouble in the crappy economy. so many regs got really good and the games just got really really tough and eventually there were no more fish who began and felt comfortable playing LHE. so the supply of fish just died out.

lol. I'm probably 0.1% now to make the final table. :-)

But I have a "development plan", so hopefully, I'll be ready around 2012 -13. But first I have to suck a little less at cash. :-)

In addition to the stuff I mentoned in SSFR:

* since you play online, live and tourneys, talk about changes you 've seen in the games and where you think the games are going (play-wise and market share wise). talk about what you like/dislike about each.
* where you see yourself in 5, 10, 20+years - what you'll be doing to make money, where you'll be with poker, coaching, blog, writing, etc.
* what you think of the relatively few people who've been consistently successful at online poker (3-5+ years), and how you plan to avoid the rut - especially since you're coaching a new generation of players to be like you, and you can't beat a table full of yourself with a rake.
* what you think of the future of the full-ring game (you focus on it, but it doesn't seem to be on the upswing).
* your philosophy on shot-taking, and your vews on the higher stakes games. You may want to talk about successes like Rider, and other recent failures (maybe not mention names) - why people succeed and fail.
* Since this is obvioulsy a great marketing tool for you, you probably want to mention (or segue) into coaching successes you've hand, what sorts of skills you try to develop (what you think is important to being a successful player), etc.
* I haven't read your blog in like a year, but this is probably a good time for you to spruce it up with good content and maybe mention it on the show.
* online poker is thought of as being impersonal and faceless - talk about the social aspects and how you've developed good live friendships through it - dinners, meeting at tourneys, etc. Maybe share some funny stories, etc. Maybe get some more fish (I mean players) interested in it. :-)
* why you chose Team Whale over Team Dfly. :-P

Good luck. I've only listened to like 20 minutes of one podcast ever, but I'll look for this one.

Thanks for the Q's dfly.

I'm sure a bunch of this stuff will come up during the interview. Nice to see you're writing essays to get your thread post count up =)

It's not a matter of team ww vs team dfly. I am in the Whaletourage but I'm not a hater.

yo in that podcast talk about how certain people are more baller than others and why

wow. I just played the worst hand ever. Rather than winning $700+, I lost $250+. For some reason I can't access hands on HEM. Maybe it's the poker gods not wanting me to embarass myself.

I asked your your SN but you didn't want to give it to me, so I guess you didn't want to do that.

Also I roughly played about 4.5 hours a day last month according to HEM, also I quite often have a few tables of 10/20 open and watch a film too, if that counts as "congrats on your accomplishments in 2009, by hovering over your computer 16hrs a day to find fish".

50K hands? Not that much.

And if you think you can beat 40/80, then why don't I see you on those tables? I'm sure you'd be welcomed with open arms to that limit by the regs there like Rask88. OR EVEN 10/20 which is a cakewalk frankly as is 5/10 FR(!) which you also cannot beat.

I forgive you for being an uneducated, moronic, borish, uncouth fool.

More kisses to you,
L

Remember, always forgive your enemies nothing annoys them so much.

so much crap wrong with these statements.

- hours played =/ hover over ftp and bumhunt time. you admit to sitting in front of your computer waiting for fish to sit. I've done that zero times all year but I assume it's kind of boring to have to sit in front of your computer for 8-12 hours a day waiting for fish.
- running hot for a few K hands at med high stakes =/ long term winning reg at those stakes
- calling you out for acting like an ass at the tables in regs threads =/ highjacking your threads which as far as I can tell you've never started
- not telling you my SN =/ denying you action as I've played with you everytime you chased a fish to my table and I've tried to start HU with you multiple times only to be denied action. Plus I assumed that PM was a sarcastic joke considering you've unprompted sent me 3 random PMs in the last few days.

here is the response I just PMd you:

lol you can find my name by using the search function, and I assumed you were being sarcastic if you claim you dont know it.

I'm themightyjim on ftp. we've played a bunch of times when I've started tables and you've bumhunted jesus seats against fish and then instantly sat out if they busted. I even had a fish make some comment in chat asking if we were teaming up to take their money because they thought your actions were so fishy.

you may be a decent guy in real life, I don't know. But in these forums and at the tables you act like a huge douchebag. And whether or not you want to be an intense table selector I don't care. Do whatever you want. But willfully doing things to alert fish that they are suckers and you are only playing to take their money is really low. It hurts everyone's bottom line, including your own. You also are pissing off the people that make it possible for you to make a living. Without good regs who start games for you to play in, and bad players that you bumhunt, you don't make any money. So obviously a more intelligent strategy would be to not act like a total asshat to the people that pay the bills for you.

I'll play you whenever you want, and I'm at the tables all the time. I'm not going to try to get into chat wars because I'm typically mass tabling and can't pay attention to chat. I'm pretty sure I have your chat blocked on ftp anyway because I got tired of watching you berate fish and talk about vpip and **** in chat.

but I have no problem playing you to start games and the only way I'll ever not play is if I have 16+ tables going and can't focus on HU.

this is probably the last PM I respond to. I have no reason to think you aren't a self-absorbed moron, and thus I have no reason to talk to you. For whatever reason I decided to send you a PM explain my issues and hoping that some level of reasoning might get through. I assume you'll probably reply with the same level of class that you've displayed in the past and at that point I'm just going to start ignoring this crap.

I hope that reply clears up some ****. I'm a little buzzed and it's late so I'm not going to edit it.
01-02-2010 , 04:12 AM
I've never "sat in front my computer waiting for fish to sit" ever in my life, nor admitted it. The only fish who I actively, so to put it, "chase" is Scout, and EVERYONE who knows who he is on every site that he's on, does it.

*************************************

20K-60K (on varying limits) does not equal a small amount of hands honey, please read the facts before you post more foolish stuff. My mama always told me that variance usually equals out at about 20K hands. Although I suppose you could be even smarter and take the whole amount of hands I have played at 3/6 - 5/10+ and then make a decision - but oh wait - I'm up still, and even more amusing, I have a higher win rate for 2/4 FR than you!

http://www.pokertableratings.com/ful...h/themightyjim (3.04)

http://www.pokertableratings.com/ful...rch/larghetto0 (3.47)

My HEM is reporting it as 9.83 for 2/4 over all hands played at FTP. Back in the day, and still today, I play just as many tables as I can manage as you. Now not as many because I’m playing mostly 6-max now, but I used to add the odd 2/4 FR table to get a good position in my rake race because FTP uses the stupid dealt method to calculate rake.

*************************

"calling you out for acting like an ass at the tables in regs threads =/ highjacking your threads which as far as I can tell you've never started”
“I'm not going to try to get into chat wars because I'm typically mass tabling and can't pay attention to chat.”

I have only ever done that to you, because you were being an @ss to me because you made a horrible call, do you remember how all this started Mr. Hypocrite? Also, you DID hijack my thread about me selling my FTP’s for a laptop. Don’t you consider that worse behaviour? Naught naughty, even a random person thought you should be banned, along with a few others. The only thing I ever say to a fish now when he beats me bady is "nh" or if its a really nasty one "vnh". That's my of venting the annoyingness of losing, say $5000 to an idiot who's going to be busted by someone else at the table or, usually hit and run. I wonder how you would cope?

****************************

“- not telling you my SN =/ denying you action as I've played with you everytime you chased a fish to my table and I've tried to start HU with you multiple times only to be denied action. ***************************************

I don’t care to even remotely to try and remember you, frankly. I sent you specifically a PM just informing you I was on the biggest winners list for the month of December, because you are hostile to me for no reason.

Having a look at your PTR, you have tried to play 5/10 – and FAILED over at least 20K hands interestingly. (“40,200 hands / $-10,945 / -1.36”) ;-)

The reason I informed you is because I would believe that it would annoy anyone to see their enemy’s success.

Once again I forgive you for your low IQ and general inability to debate or form an argument and lack of memory, being a hypocrite, etc.
