Running terribad/facing a downswing should be viewed as a unique opportunity to gain a pretty significant edge over your opponents, as one of the more commong leaks of poker players at all stakes is playing bad when stuck.

When I run awfull, I imagine myself competing against "past/future/imaginary" opponents/regs running as bad as me, and not against my actual opponents. ( I shouldn't even use the term "imagine" because if you look at the big picture, that's actually exactly what I'm doing ).

Eventually, the feeling that what i'm facing is "unfair" and other stupid thoughts that only conduct to tilt will disappear. I once even surprised myself thinking, as I was about to get it in with AA pre, "ok, I know I'm gonna lose another BI there, but that won't affect me", lose the pot, move on without even the smallest feeling of frustration or - even better - win it and feel strange about it.

The key to still win facing a terrible downswing is to bum hunt. Find someone that is running worse than you on PTR, and just get it in with him or her with any two cards.

Also, if you are playing say 4 tables of NL400. Try mixing it up at the tables. Say on table 1 you only bet with the nuts, and on table 4 you only bet with a bluff. Then on table 2 or table 3 you bet with some mediocre strength hands to double merge your range. You can also triple merge your range but splitting your tables on different monitors. Even though your opponents know you are running bad, they just don't know what to do when you bet. They are going to fold their better hands and call with worse hands. And that's how you get out of a downswing.

I feel like I just got worse at poker from reading that.

not legal but you'll never have "trouble" if you hold some reasonnable quantity over you. That said, we now have "split tests" and if you're caught driving being positive fine is 1 000 eur or so.

I think the Song method is the best. If you run bad, the correct play is to move up to higher stakes games and then run good. This isn't rocket science, people.
