Florida Poker Room $2/5, 9 handed

Hero: Been playing at this table for 6+ hours. I'm the only one making non ABC moves as best I can see. I've beat up on V1 a lot all night and I'm up $600, mostly from V1. I pocketed $600 because we changed the game to round and round of NLHE and PLO. The room required everyone to scale back to a max buy of $800 when the game changed and hasn't gone far from from $800.

V1: I've played with this guy once a month on average for about 3 years. Nice guy, a lawyer, he's making goo goo eyes and talk with the, IMO, obnoxiously loud drunk woman seated between us. I've begun to lose my patience because she moves as slow as the turd salad entree in a NY Deli. They have obviously known each other a long time and are discussing a potential Vegas trip. He has told folks he is down $2500, but I've seen him rebuy at least 4 times so I think it is more. He's not a good player and I rarely see him win. He has seen me show down a few bluffs today and has folded his hand while saying that he knows I'm bluffing.

V2: Someone fairly new to the table, but he plays fit or fold from what I can see and has no regard for position.

V2, UTG+1, $600, opens to $15 - his raise is not noteworthy.
V1, BUT, $800 from a fresh rebuy calls
Hero, BB, $800, A7 calls

My standard play here is that if I have suited A2 - A5, I would 3B. For $10 more, I'll just call to see an OOP flop with A7s

($47) Flop: J72

I'm first to act and I check. V2 bets $40, V1 insta calls, I raise to $140.

Critique? This was the first check raise I had done that day.

V2 thinks and folds. V1 thinks and thinks and slowly calls.

($367) Turn: J7210

That's a fairly safe turn for me. What should I do?

I'd lead towards flatting flop since overflushing someone would be nice and we do have some (not a lot) showdown value. We don't have many value combos here in the first place either and a bunch of bluffs to choose from. I don't hate the xr, but I think some of our straight and flush draws with less showdown value have more reason to just scoop this OTF. The large size from V2 would probably skew that range towards overpairs and TPGK as well, so maybe we've got less fold equity than we think. I'd definitely size it up though when x/r. 3.5x OOP with an overcaller isn't much. I think $180+ works better.

I'd probably check the turn given the dynamic. It's not quite safe as it brings in 89, but the main point is your history with him. Sounds like he's not letting go of any Jack here. If he turned a T that went with his FD or gutter, he's not folding hat either. We're gonna get the river with a pot sized bet or much less pending on how much we bet turn, so when the river bricks, we'll have much less leverage. I'd probably check this back & maybe make a move on Q and K rivers that would scare his Jx and Tx holdings.

Given the way this hand has played I would check turn. Villain mostly either thinks you are bluffing or has a flush draw also. The instant call followed by the slow call is a common pattern for villain having a flush draw also and if so you want him to hit. If he has some made hand and thinks you are bluffing it's mostly a pair better then yours and it looks like he is ready to call you down.
Also, the pot is getting big relative to stacks. If you make a big bet now and villain shoves over top you will be committed when you know you probably need to hit your flush. If you do want to bet you need to keep it < $200 and that isn't going to get villain to fold any made hand.

Flop check/raise should have been bigger. Once they are both in for $40 another $100 isn't going to get much to fold.
