Everest Poker, NL400, 10 handed

Button ($431.10)
Hero (SB) ($396.00)
BB ($240.30)
UTG ($468.00)
UTG+1 ($243.50)
MP1 ($80.00)
MP2 ($1121.40)
MP3 ($580.50)
HJ ($180.20)
Villain (CO) ($448.40)

Hero is dealt A K

Preflop: , UTG raises to 14.00, 1 fold, MP1 calls 14.00, 3 folds, CO calls 14.00, Button calls 14.00, Hero raises to 74.00, 7 folds, CO calls 60.00, 1 fold.

Flop (187.00) 3 6 J
Hero bets 120.00, Villain raises to 374.4 (all in),

Reads:
Villain was unknown. I've been new to the table and had only seen one hand, where he limped KTo late, called two bets with absolutely zilch on a lowcard board, to scoop a ten on the river and win. So that looked donkish, but this was a small pot. I don't have any stats or more of a read.

Pre:
I try to collect the dead money and hope to take the pot down right away. My thinking is that a raise from the SB looks pretty strong here when only UTG can have a real hand. I am prepared to let it go if UTG pushes or be very careful if he calls.

Flop:
With Villain in CO calling I put him on some PP most of the time, maybe some suited stuff. So do I c-bet? My thinking was that even if he likes to call a lot (as indicated in the one hand I saw), he will have a harder time when the pot gets bigger. I am still repping a monster, so he should fold anything but a set.

Probably this is all standard and I just fold now and go on. But I am curious if I did something stupid.

imo this is a small PP most of the time. I think I C-bet, but there is no need to C-bet this high. make it about 90 or 95, fold to the raise obv.

You have 202$ to call in a 629$ pot, so you need only 32.11% of equity (not sure of my maths).
Against a range of 22-JJ, AQs, AJs, JTs, QJs, 54s, AQo, AJo (very wide), you have only 31.901% of equity...

So, pot/call or check/raise all-in or check/fold or bet less/fold.

i think this is pretty standard,
villain most likely just caught lucky on the flop and your play is going to take the pot down +67% of the time so it will immediately show a profit. Dont worry about this time him catching good, if he made a play, power to him, you still only have about 24% to improve over his pair hands that haven't made sets yet. Dont sweat it and just move on to the next hand.

agree with everyone else... smaller c-bet imo.

seems like he should have a pair so betting less is just gonna make it less likely that he actually folds it

bp/call, shove, or check behind, betting small makes him call or do what he did....

I would lean on betting exactly pot or shoving
