Commerce NL400 with 5/10 blinds

I am in the SB with AK

Villian in this hand is loose passive (but not excessively so)

About 1 orbit ago a tight player raised to $60, someone says "uh oh you know he has something big." I reraised to $150 with TT out of the blinds and he folded. I showed my hand and someone suggested I made a good play. So my table image at this point is "tricky." Prior to that hand i was probably looking tight and very aggresive.

I have $550, UTG1 has $800

UTG1 limps, MP1 Limps, MP3 limps, CO limps, I raise to $70, someone says "10's again?" everyone folds except UTG1.

Flop: 689

I bet $100. UTG1 calls.

Turn: 5

I bet $200...

His range was wide (from the limp call). I'm sure he would have called the flop with any 2 given my recent, very aggresive play. I was trying to push him out with that big turn barrel (and the threat of playing for stacks after that) i believe I was representing an overpair

well I tend not to put a large portion of my stack in on a terrible card to bluff out of position with no equity against a donk who doesn't like to fold.

but that's just me

I do not like this play. If you had an overpair and were continuing in the hand you should probably just be shoving given that you only have a PSB left on such a coordinated board, so making a ~half pot-sized bluff for over half your remaining stack on a turn card that just made the board worse is bad:
- it invites him to peel another card on an extremely draw-heavy board, but at the same time doesn't leave enough behind to effectively bluff the river if you do get called
- it doesn't coincide with how you would likely play any good hand (since you basically never have a 7 here).

You raise preflop, you fired your CB to try and take it down on the flop and the board just got worse -- give up and just let this one go.

*IF* you decide for some reason that you want to continue with the hand, you need to just shove the turn -- but i'd rather do this with a hand that can hope to have some equity if you do get called.

I don't agree with the bold part based on my read. Sure he was a little loose/passive but its a stretch to say he'll continue with any small pair or high cards on the turn especially with the threat to his stack. Because of the recent action, the flop c-bet had no fold equity which is the main reason I decided to continue.

What I'm wondering is whether it was worth firing 20 bbs on the turn to put pressure on villian to fold without having a 7 in his hand or a strong TP (I actually thought this was a good board to shoot at)

Alpha13, good play. Did he fold? I think your 2 barrels are pretty big and strong and should fold out this live donk.
