Pot 230
Stack left ~400

Spoiler:
and shows K2o

I am absolutely not sure what to make of my play here. I'm alternating between 1) overplay
because it's a multiway limped pot, my hand isn't the nuts and few draws are possible and
2) not max-EV play because I could have gotten more out against overplays of single pair Kx,
e.g. with a higher X/R on the flop, higher overbet size on the turn and a shove on the river.
I decided to blockbet the river because I am behind against slowplayed sets 55/22 and additionally
K9/K8/99 + backdoorflushs. I also think that AK/KQ/KJ/KT are not willing to pay another huge bet on
the river.

I've not seen the spoiler.

I'm struggling to see what V can reasonably cold call the flop with.

Beat us 17 combos:
22 - 3 combos.
55 - 1 combo.
K9, K8 - unlikely calling the flop? 12 combos discount to 6 combos.
99 or 88 - calling the flop? Almost never. Discounted.
34 spades - 1 combo
Kx spades - 6 combos
Weird AA or KK? Discounted.

We beat 21 combos (18 maybe calling a bet).

KQ, KJ, KT - 24 combos discounted (especially KT) to 18 combos.
34s (not spades) - 3 combos (but not calling a bet).

So I quite like the block bet here if you are going to fold to a raise. Checking also fine, betting 100 is fine.

Also not looking at the Spoiler.

I really like the blockbet-fold line on the River, that’s the only real play that makes sense. You’re not strong enough to shove for value here.

You did make one big mistake in this hand, and it was your very first one:

Quote:
Hero completes
I know it seems like you’re “priced in” to call with garbage hands when you’re in the SB and a few guys have limped (“it’s just $1!”) , but you’ve gotta fold stuff like K5o. You’ll be out of position against 5 opponents for the entire hand (so it will be extremely hard to realize your equity) and it’s the sort of hand that’s almost impossible to win a big pot with, but very easy to LOSE a big pot with.

It’s not just about the $1 you save by folding in these spots, but about the hundreds you will be saving by not winding up with the second best hand at showdown in a big pot.

(Or even the money you’ll save in a bunch of tiny pots. You complete from the SB with K5o and the 6 of you see a flop of K82r. You check-call one of the limper’s bets and then check-fold their Turn bet and now it’s “why did I waste $10 on K5o when I could have just folded it pre-flop?”)

Yes, this is a really good point. I find it kinda hard to navigate in mw limped pots and
decide what hands to overlimp/complete preflop. Also there is literally no content out
there on this topic; the only two things we know 1) we have to play extremelly caution and 2) we
have basically no foldequity vs multiple opponents. Empirically estimating the expected
value of complets like this one is also not possible, since there is not enough data
available due to the fact that this situation does not exist in the online poker world.
One can surly argue with position, playability and nutpotential to not make this play, however,
on the other side another one can argue with experience and skill difference (edge).
What would your range look like here, assuming you have one at all and don't play isoraise only?
