Villain MP semi-laggy reg & good friend
Hero UTG w/ AKo

Hero open 10, Villain coldcall 10, 2 additional calls

Pot ~40
Flop A94r (4way)
Hero x, Villain floatbet 18, 2x fold, Hero x/c 18

Pot ~80
Turn 7ss
Hero x, Villain bet 50, Hero x/c 50

Pot 180
River 2
Hero x, Villain bet 70, Hero x/c 70

Spoiler:
Villain shows 2pair w/ 97s

Villain is the type of player of triple barrels wide and doesnt take his shwodown value in general,
at least imo. So I decided to include my TPTK into my checking range this time. I think that my hand
is pretty underreppt by the river and I am top of my range. I am more of less representing weak Ax
or KK-, so Villain might be willing to get me off of these hands. His small river bet already shows
that he thinks my range is weak and his is strong, which certainly is with a lot of 2pairs+. I need
~22% equity for the call, his value range could be 99,44,A9s,A7s,A4s,97s, maybe even AJs/ATs? Possible
bluffs are 98s/87s? Given that I have a profitable call:

Board: A94 7 2
Equity Win Tie
MP2 31.58% 31.58% 0.00% { AKo }
MP3 68.42% 68.42% 0.00% { 99, 44, A9s, A7s, A4s, 97s+, 87s }

Just c-bet multi-way. HU this might be a clever line against a LAG with whom you have a lot of history.

AP, river you get 7-2 to call and you're too high up in your range to fold at this price. If he has a set, you got away cheaply.

I like this a lot as an low-frequency play. You want to have a hand like this in your check-call king range as a pre-flop raiser on a dry ace-high board, to balance with the times you’d do it with TT-KK.

River is an easy call since you are under-repped (Villain can easily think he’s value betting top pair, that you’ll stubbornly call a third tiny bet with your pocket pair.)

I've not seen the results but this seems standard to me. If you want to take this line sometimes/vs the particular player sure, no problem. It's not usual for a reason but your plan was to let him bet/bluff, the pot size is reasonable, the board isn't scary and it seems solid.

Edit: Just saw results [spoiler].

If he is betting 97 on an A94 board with three other people still in the hand his range is a lot wider than you credited him for on the river. He's still likely betting the turn even if he doesn't improve. You are a strong favourite on the river vs a player like this.
