2-5 NL, Mohegan Sun.

Decent looking game, first half an hour at table, so no real reads, except that the guy in MP is a younger, really doofy-looking guy, maybe a slightly
better looking version of Cletus from the Simpsons.

I have about 400 to start, he covers.

I have AJo in the BB, 4 limpers and I check.

Flop KQ10 rainbow. SB checks, I check, MP bets 15, folds to button who
calls, SB folds and I make it 60. Both players call.

Turn K. I check (TERRIBLE? YES, I KNOW). SB Bets 50. Button folds, I call (I HAVE APPARENTLY FORGOT ALL CONCEPTS OF GOOD POKER).

River 9. I lead for 105. I had been planning to bet-fold this river to try to get value from trip Kings. He says he's all in. Its about 180 or so more to me. F my life. I like baby pigeons.

$180 to win $680. The guy has a lot of jacks in his range. On a 9 river I don't see how you can't payoff for this price.

I agree. Even though in live poker, the majority of players play so passively that they would not raise that river with a bare J, I guess that some of them would...

But by that point I had already gotten myself into a pretty gross spot. Can anyone give any insight into whether a CR or bet is better on that board with 4-5 opponents in an unraised pot?

Again, agreed. The more I look back on this hand, the more I want to vomit at my play on all three streets (I don't neccesarily mind the PF check, but a raise def. wouldn't have been bad.)

Probably becomes a lot easier to play if I lead the flop for $30 and hope for a raise, otherwise just lead pot again on turn and re-eval if I get popped on the board-pairing card? Is this a less sickening line?

limon you want him to raise AJo from the BB pf??? Bet pot on the flop bet pot on the turn. Whats the max buyin on that game? I don't think I would ever in a million years find a way not to stick in 80BBs with my hand given the action.

KK, QQ would have raised PF, 99 (probably) wouldn't have hung around until the river (esp. if you had of bet flop and turn).

KQ, KT, (K9) and TT are legitimate concerns, but I would actually put Jx as a clear favourite here. Pot odds make this a snap call.

This. I dont mind the check pf...live you might get called in 4 spots and then u have built a big pot with a marginal hand OOP. I hate it when I do that.
