1/2 300 Most profitable table I've played at in many sessions. Lots of loose passives and two loose aggressive who nonetheless often fold to aggression on the flop and also call with worse hands.

Villain (175) is a nervous, skinny young man. At the time of the hand below, I had no reads.
A-hole (500) is a calling station.
Hero (300) is a TAG for what it's worth

OTTH

Two limpers. Hero with 88 in MP opened to 15. Checks to V, who raised all-in. Folds to hero. Hero folded, and V showed AQo.

Over the next hands, V built a big stack with crappy cards. He was a perfect target, until in one hand, the A-hole lost a big pot to V, and the A-hole called V a bad word. They started fighting verbally. Management gave both a warning. Everyone at the table got into a bad mood and the table's profitability decreased. A few loose passives became tight passives, one loose aggressive became a loose passives, two tight passives turned into rocks.

Do you just change tables or do you try to bring the bad players back to their regular bad play, especially V with his big stack? If the later, how do you do that?

I either change tables or leave. There's always a game tomorrow. Life is too short to put up with it. But I'm not a pro, so pros should probably change tables.

Sometimes an argument at the table will tilt somebody and there is enough money to be made that it's worth putting up with for a while. If an argument has made several players shut down you can't fix it and your best off changing tables.

Life is too short to play with A-holes and I change tables regardless of the profit potential. But I am a rec (obviously) FWIW.

I'm not a pro and I play for fun. No fun, no play. There is a regular game that I beat but a nasty old angry man makes it so miserable to be there, I go to a different room on the days I know he plays bc there is only one 2/5 table in that room.

The problem with A holes is that they don't know they are A holes and sometimes you can't get away from them.

Recently I was in a busy cardroom, a player at the table behind us was pontificating at high volume about politics, how he has outsmarted lawyers, how he has made cops back down bc he knows the laws better than them, etc. People at my table first roll their eyes, but after a while we're all getting annoyed by this guy's lack of volume control and non stop braggadocio.

I get up and lean over the other table and once everyone is looking at me, I say, "Gentlemen. Did you ever notice that the loudest farts come from the biggest a-holes?"

There was a mix of nervous and enthusiastic laughter. The only guy at the table who didn't get it was my intended victim.

How does a fart joke negate braggadocio? Why are fart jokes still funny as a grownup?

I wish I could have been at that table.

Today, a nitty 75 year old lady shouted "I hate you!" to a guy who raised 20x pre-flop so that she could't see a flop with her pocket 3s with a good promotion going. Luckily, didn't change a great game.

I've put up with some terrible behavior from serious whales.

I hate people drawing attention to terrible plays. One guy was berating a bad tourist (who was a a really nice guy) for like 15 minutes for a bad play. Nasty personal stuff out of nowhere. No idea why the dealer didn't step in. The table energy was so weird and awkward. I put a target on the ahole's back and felted him. He came back and apologized.

There's one player I avoid, like I just change tables if he's there, because he's a miserable prick, berates the fish and isn't bad enough at poker to make up for it.
