Very aggressive table. Effective stack size 520. 10 handed.

Folds around to Hero on the lowjack who raises to 25 with pocket 10s.

Cutoff (640) and big blind (around 400) call

Pot: 80
Flop: 9s 8s 4c

Hero bets 40. Cutoff villain raises to 100. Bb folds. Hero shoved for rest of stack (450). Cutoff calls. JJ.

Was this an over aggressive shove? Was confident that I could get him to call with any 9x , flush draw or straight draw.

What suits were your Tens?

I think Getting It In with an overpair for 100 BBs is never going to be THAT bad, but it seems less than ideal here, with the worst overpair facing a very tiny raise when you're blocking almost all of his straight draws. Why not just call and play poker on the Turn?

Yeah I don’t mind it given it’s an aggressive table. I’d prefer to unblock a few more straight draws, but given the table I’m okay to just gii for only a stack

I'd refrain from showing results on the initial post in the future.

Aggressive table <> Flat JJ in the CO

I probably flat and see what happens on the turn. Have a small inkling to fold now, but don't think I ever would. IDK, spot feels bad man, and having TT here sucks.

If you have the Ts that unblocks a lot of big draw combos, making it more likely you’re up against something better than TT.

In most of these cases in my 2/5 game, I play pretty nitty to postflop raises because most (obv not all) opponents here aren’t raising with draws. YMMV.

I know the "table" is aggressive, but what about the CO?

I don't see the need to jam here, it's just turning your hand into a bluff. We can't always assume it's gotta be a draw unless we know he would always raise a draw, and even if he does, does he still do that vs 2 other players? It didn't look like he wanted everyone to fold for a 2.5x raise.

Sorry might have made an error in the description.

Hero bets 40. Cutoff villain raises to 140.

Not sure if that changes anything but yes agree with all the responses that this was definitely an over-shove either way.

CO is not the most aggressive, more polarized range but didn't play enough hands with him compared to the others.

I would fold to the unknown's 100 on top raise, they're usually hands that smoke us much more than draws (I'm not going broke hoping he was just on a draw).
