Hi!

Im looking school/solver/teacher to learn about preflop ranges.

Im playing 1-3 and 2-5 with no idea of good opening/3betting/coldcalling ranges... (5% rake max 10 in 1-3 and 15 in 2-5 no flop no rake)

8 handed, when hand is unnoped i think online ranges can be good....

The problem is:

- How to play when utg straddle, or button straddle...
- how to play vs player than open >50 deck in any position, 3bet? call? play loose? tight?
- multiway limped pots, limp mostly? ROL or fold?

and which range play when ppl are loose and u are going 3-4 way postflop....

Any school recommendation or website with ranges

Thanks

Almost any entry level poker book will provide this information. My recommendation is "The Course" by Ed Miller.

My suggestion is to stay playing 1/3 for a while until you've absorbed in the information in that book before moving up to 2/5.

I may be wrong here, but this is going to be so game dependent. What works in some types of games may be less than optimal in others.

I wouldn't be worried about a 3betting range at your level, except of course for premium hands.

You only wanna call pre after multiple callers if you have a multiway hand such as a suited ace, suited connector or pocket pair. You don't wanna ever call with hands like KJo or A9o and other hands like that.

There are preflop charts out there that will give you a general idea of what to play from each position, but only use that as a basic guide, since as you get better you should be playing vs your opponents range instead of what the chart says.
