Hi Everyone,

I wasn't sure of the best forum to post this in so I thought I'd give this thread a shot. Two friends and I are looking to do an overnight poker trip 3-4 hours away in a couple weeks. Important things we need are sports betting and preferably an attached hotel to the casino. We all live in Columbus, OH so I'm thinking casinos in Indiana, WV, and PA should be in play.

Initially we were just going to do Hollywood Lawrenceburg but I've been sporadically checking their Bravo and it doesn't seem great pokerwise. HSI looks pretty good but it's a little further away. We won't be playing anything above 1/2, 1/3 but I don't wanna be stuck at a casino where the poker room isn't open or they only have one or two 1/2 games running on a Sunday.

Between Rivers, Meadows, Wheeling Island, Lawrenceburg, HSI, or any other close places, do any of you have a preference?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can really only speak towards the ones I've been to which are Meadows and Rivers. Between them, definitely Rivers. Poker room is mostly 1/3 but you shouldn't have trouble finding a table at any time. Fridays and Saturdays usually have 10-15 tables running.

They just redid their sports betting stuff and recently renovated the middle of the casino to accommodate. There's probably 50 sizable TVs. Also have kiosks right outside the poker room.

Thing that sucks is attached hotel (there isn't one). The Sheraton right down the street is pretty awesome, but I'm sure you can find cheaper accomodations through AirBnB or something similar.

Good luck!

Thanks!! Yeah, I was comparing those two and Wheeling (well, not really Wheeling lol) and Rivers seemed like size wise, it's room was superior. If we decide to go east, I think that's where we'll stay.

And this is the wrong forum for this question. Looks like you got your answer so I'm going to lock it up.

FWIW, you could have added the Poker Atlas and Bravo apps to your phone and looked at the rooms on a Sunday afternoon to see which were the busiest. They're free.
