This is a call. Just count your combos. You're beaten by six combos. You need 30% to break even. Can you come up with a likely range where this is a fold? I doubt it. Adding just AA makes it a call and he has to have a wider range than that. Also if he cant have AA in his flop range then he also can't have 77 in his preflop range.

Side pot muddles things but I can't imagine this is a math fold.
...I assume you're talking to me...

If your combos are correct, then obviously it's a call. If we're up against anyone who isn't "ABC," or, "Super nit," it's a call. We have a disagreement about the combos.

Let me ask you this op - you seem to have history with the villain in this hand. Have you EVER seen him ship that much money on a draw before? That's the key question here. Based on your, "ABC," read I'm assuming you've pretty much close to never seen him make a move like that? If that's so, then I'm not giving him credit for a draw here until he shows me he's capable of shoving a draw (unless he's on monkey tilt or something). Period.

If I'm up against an ABC villain who has never shown any capability of shoving a draw in this spot, then I stand by my original "I'm folding confidently," statement b/c he can only have a set here. And yes, it's very possible to put all kinds of live villains on extremely narrow ranges if you have enough history and they aren't creative.

Keep in mind that we called a 7x raise preflop so I would think not many flush draws in our range..no combo draws..no 5hxh.
Just fyi hero's range is pretty wide here irrespective of the 7x open which isn't really that big for llsnl 2/5.

And I'm more apt to widen my calling range ip as the opening raise size approaches 10% of ES ducy...

This is a winning 5/10 player or no? If so, then no I don't understand how it would be a good strategy to target him with suited connector type hands when he 7x's it.

(7x is a big open in most 2/5 games I have played in. I would consider 5x to be a typical open).

He's got all 16 combos of AK and will barrel favorable boards so I'm comfortable calling two barrels on Q85Jr plus in this particular game the rest of the field was pretty fit-fold.

My advice is not to setmine against players who will always flop a better set than you making you fold every time they raise the flop.

I would not have raised the flop without intention if gii. Why did we raise?

I dont see utg bet-folding this cbet size, so raising to 250 and getting in would be my line vs his cbet size. He loves his hand and told us so with the huge cbet so nothing has changed.

JJJ is about the only made hand I see him holding here and a potted cbet seems a bit over the top, so if he has it he has it.
