This.

High volume deadlifts and squats will wreck you and get you in beast mode for sure. Stay in 50%-65% and the 8-14rep range and watch, it's amazing.

Well, I've lost 20lbs since then. Today is pizza day for me but prior to filling my stomach I weighed in at 128.8lbs this afternoon which is the least I've weighed in 20 years. I'm really skinny now but no abs and I estimate my body fat percentage at 18%. I was 125lbs in high school and was quite skinny but never had abs. if I get down to 120lbs I should be at like 12% body fat, and 115lbs which seems insane to me should put me at 8% body fat.

Good job DC but that's getting near the zone of dangerous weight loss.

I didn't get involved in this thread but today is day 90 of p90x. My first time actually finishing. I went from 185lb to 165. Gained a bunch of muscle. More importantly my heart rate is in the mid 60s and I feel great. Would recommend to anyone in good enough shape to start it. Would have lost more but cheated on my diets some.

Congrats Spike!

I managed to weigh in sub 85kg just long enough to not donate 4.5k in freerolls but have gained some since

Like squid, I just can't stick to the right nutrition. Am under a fair amount of life pressures right now and while breakfast and lunch I'm really clean, I just can't deny myself a few beers most nights and that leads to salty snacks and peanut butter sammiches

Late night munchies have been. Problem for me as well. My solution: work out at night. If I already worked out in the morning (my preference), I'll go for a run or some kind of cardio. Completely kills the cravings and then it's time for bed anyway.

I've decided that much of this self-improvement is completely pointless and has been a huge time waster. I'm glad that I dropped the weight I did but don't feel my quality of life has increased one bit. I do not enjoy exercising and will not continue it going forward. Fast food makes a lot of sense for me given my lifestyle, so I am going to go back to eating more of that but I will do so with a bit more moderation than I did in the past.

Would you be willing to trade your slimmer waist to have eaten all the junk food?

bummer man.

I guess what you need to do is take stock. And really think - if I dont work out and stay somewhat fit; what trajectory will my life take. What kinds of things will I be able to do and more importantly not be able to do as I get into my 40s, 50's, and 60's.

I really like to do a wide array of sports stuff. As we age most of society seems to think we should grow out of this. I think its more of an excuse. Being overweight and losing coordination people "lose interest" in those types of things.

We have one body that is destined to break down. Why not keep it working well as long as possible?

I should have posted up all my 34 and 32 jeans ITT instead of donating them to DAV. Didn't want them sticking around as an excuse to put weight back on.

Started tracking my macros about 4 weeks ago. Feeling pretty good about lifting cardio, & diet.

~24 lbs to go.

Patience, persistence, and perspiration.

Ok everyone, let's not FREAK OUT! I haven't eaten a ton of fast food since I posted that. In fact, the only fast food joints I've gone to are Taco Cabana (super late night) and Chic-fil-a (on the way to the casino when I'm trying to avoid rush hour traffic) and one could argue both of those have higher quality ingredients than most fast food and are more like fast casual.

So I'm mostly eating fast casual. Does that mean I am eating healthy? Absolutely not. Here is what my diet has mostly consisted of lately (note, I eat just 2 times a day):

TacoDeli - 3 or 4 tacos: sirloin, egg, and cheese; potato, egg, and cheese, or an Otto (refried black beans, cheese, bacon, avocado).

The Halal Guys - Beef platter: A couple of scoops of beef over a couple of scoops of rice served with 3 small pita breads, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and extra white sauce. I suppose if I ate this with chicken it would be a bit healthier but it's not my fault they overcook their chicken.

I get a gourmet pizza every Tuesday. Not healthy.

Wing Stop - 8 wings, regular fries, baked beans

BBBop Seoul Kitchen - Get a rice bowl with chicken or steak and various vegetables and scrambled egg in it. I'm not sure how healthy this is but it feels healthier than anything else I eat.

Chic-fil-a: 12 nuggets and fries.

Taco Cabana either a steak burrito, a steak bowl, or a taco meal which comes with a side of rice and beans and extra tortillas.

I'm probably not getting enough veggies. I do eat some gummy vitamins everyday and still get my protein shakes..although now I've been eating them as a snack or perhaps as a 3rd meal and ideally they would still just be like a 2nd meal.

I am not working out at all. I don't really see myself doing any physical activity in the future so I'm not worried about that but at the same time I don't want to be fat. I just weighed myself and I weighed 132lbs. Does this mean I gained weight? Possibly not. I weighed myself later in the day today. If I weigh myself at 135lbs or greater then I will go back on the diet. My 30" jeans are still quite loose on me. It would still be nice to get down to 120lbs or less.

I have mixed thoughts on this. I enjoy food a lot but I don't want to be fat again.

I post about making progress and now I hurt my knee. I was doing Bulgarian Split Squats and felt some mild pain just above my knee near the inside of my leg.

I haven't been lifting that long and have recently added more volume in the last 6 weeks as well as more cardio. I figured it was reasonable to assume I was just more sore than usual and maybe fatigued.

I took 5 days off from lifting and cardio. I've used a combination of heat, ice, IcyHot, and Aleve.

I decided to try some low intensity cardio on a recumbent bike yesterday. The first 20 minutes seemed fine/OK. There was some minor discomfort but nothing major. The last 15 minutes felt more and more uncomfortable & I stopped after that.

My leg/knee pain is such a hard thing for me to describe. I guess I'd characterize it as mild pain but pretty intense discomfort. If I had to keep going, I could but it would be constantly present.

Calling it at 173/33", actually 32" if I measure it first thing in the morning.

So... anyone know a good muscle program for lanky MAWGs?
