For those who don't remember the story, I will share:

I was at TI at about midnight LV time on a Monday a couple of years ago.

I had about $258 in front of me at the $1/$3 game.

Player A raises and I 3-bet 10 10 to $50.

Flop comes A 10 x (6 I believe) with two clubs. He checks. I bet $60. He raises to $200.

I have $208 total including the $60 bet. I slide all my chips across the felt.

Dealer puts out turn and river. MHIG is good against 88.

Dealer then looks at my stack and realizes I have an extra $8.

Dealer calls over floor. Floor rules that since Player A hadn't called the $8, he needed to have the chance to call the $8 and that if he calls, he gets a new turn and river.

Turn club.

River club.

He scoops pot.

I steam for about 20 minutes before leaving.

I have reviewed this hand with almost every floor person and dealer I know. Everyone I have talked to said TI made a mistake in its decision.

I have vowed never to go in that room again as a result.

Was he really folding for $8 more after I shipped? Who the hell cares? It was $8. If they wanted to let him fold for the $8 AFTER seeing the turn and river I would have been fine with that decision, because that was a dealer error. No fault of the player.

move up to where the dealer respects your raises imo

Seriously though, that's a ridiculous ruling. Did V seem like a super reg?

Like you said, it's $8. Pretty sure floor/mgmt has final authority outside of any established procedure so how is forgetting about the $8, keeping the board and shipping you the pot not the outcome here.

Yes, reg was a LV resident who played there a lot I gathered.

I saw on a moving billboard yesterday that Monday & Thursday are bikini nights @ Senor Frog's.

That's a terrible ruling obviously, but I'm sure TI has changed management 7 times since then, so you're no more or less likely to get screwed over again.

I haven't played there in years, though, so I can't speak to anything.

I used to play 10 hours a week when I was playing regularly because their weekly freeroll was nice value.

I have some serious rungood attached to Treasure Island pokerrom from my last trip. In 2-3 hours me and my buddy felted the drunk table captain who was running over the table before we sat down. He was making it 30$ pre every single hand and C-betted the flop 100 percent of the time. The guy had 1400$ stack in front of him in the 1-3 game when we arrived and we just owned him and adjusted perfectly from the first hand. It was one of my most memorable sessions ever in the live setting.

Yeah they had at least 3 different managers in a pretty short time period before they closed the room across from Cirque. Which still makes me a bit sad, but not as sad as M's room moving, and not NEARLY as sad as TI's pool.

bip! is offended by your calling him captain. I believe he prefers "table commodore."

Bip uses to get drunk and then continue to spew off his money at TI when he is in Vegas? Nice to know, maybe have to go back to that shabby pokerrom in the summer then

I'd have called the gaming commission without leaving my seat.
