I was at TI at about midnight LV time on a Monday a couple of years ago.
I had about $258 in front of me at the $1/$3 game.
Player A raises and I 3-bet 10 10 to $50.
Flop comes A 10 x (6 I believe) with two clubs. He checks. I bet $60. He raises to $200.
I have $208 total including the $60 bet. I slide all my chips across the felt.
Dealer puts out turn and river. MHIG is good against 88.
Dealer then looks at my stack and realizes I have an extra $8.
Dealer calls over floor. Floor rules that since Player A hadn't called the $8, he needed to have the chance to call the $8 and that if he calls, he gets a new turn and river.
Turn club.
River club.
He scoops pot.
I steam for about 20 minutes before leaving.
I have reviewed this hand with almost every floor person and dealer I know. Everyone I have talked to said TI made a mistake in its decision.
I have vowed never to go in that room again as a result.
Was he really folding for $8 more after I shipped? Who the hell cares? It was $8. If they wanted to let him fold for the $8 AFTER seeing the turn and river I would have been fine with that decision, because that was a dealer error. No fault of the player.
