in terms of food: If you play poker at the V they give 2$/hr soo if you are banging out 6-7hrs you pretty much have 1 meal covered for free (tip is included when they bring food). Drinks are also comped when you are pokering. Now lets say you are broke ass broke and are going to consume at least 1 protein shake/day while gamboolin. The V also has a coffee bar with free 2% milk. You can have a shake with milk whilest you play at no cost.

I honestly believe you can do breakfast for under 15$ at most casino coffee shops


This leaves a single meal. You can have a really nice dinner just about anywhere for under 50...and at a lot of off strip joints for under 30.

Edit* The comped meal at the V comes from The Grand Lux Café and will be a sandwich type meal burger/chicken sand/ etc.

Just go eat at the Mexican place at Bally's and get your $2 tacos or the giant nachos.

Also, for hotels, it's too early for the real "deals" from a hotwire or priceline perspective. So you're looking for casino promos for now. Sign up for all the mailing lists and they will send you stuff.

ya its really weird - in fact there are even people that want a job that cant get 1...there are also people who want a home to live in yet can not afford one...there are even some people who cant afford to eat on a regular basis.

I plan on nice dinners, but breakfast/lunch will be "meh" for me. Even dinner wise over a certain value is neutral EV for me.
To be fair, I have been spoiled with amazing home cooked meals most if m life and I eat out constantly due to work travel.
On my priorities list in Vegas food will be about 4th/5th.

Breakfast? When I was in Vegas I went to sleep at about 6 AM every day. Passed out in our jacuzzi one night. Lunch and dinner only for the kid!

I apologize for comparing people going to Vegas for a summer vacation with Africans starving to survive. My fault.

$100 is a very conservative estimate in terms of food and drink per day.

I can tell you if you plan on surviving on $2 tacos you're not going to be to make it to many meet ups because your cheeks are going to be firmly planted on your hotel room toilet bowl for 60% of the trip.

If you can afford steak and lobster, I aint mad at ya... if you can afford tacos... I'll probably have a few with you.

Point of the trip is not to out ball each other. Some will stay at the Bellagio, and some at the Quad. Let's have some fun and cause a bunch of mayhem in LV.

I plan on going cheap as I can. I'll ball out on one nice dinner and then its cheapo the rest of the time. This is all based on my current salary. If I land a swe/dev job before than(gawd help me if I don't) than I'll say *** it, most of my money is going for poker.

Throwing my name in as a "maybe". I haven't been posting a long time but have been reading here for months. And recently started playing with more frequency at casinos as opposed to mostly home games. Never been to Vegas and definitely have that on the list.
