Please to be adding Mr. Lapidator and Ms. Lapidatrix to the list of those attending your party.

Our itinerary is expected to be 28-MAY until 8-JUN.

Mr. Lapidator would like to reserve a seat at the 1/1-half-NLHE-half-PLOL game.

Ms. Lapidatrix would like to reserve a spot on the rail close to the bar service.

We humbly suggest said game to be held sometime between 31-MAY and 2-JUN.

Mr. Lapidator and Ms. Lapidatrix are planning to donate $565 to the WSOP on 29-MAY.

Mr. Lapidator is planning on donating $1500 to the WSOP on 5-JUN.

(BTW... please to be posting to this thread when the Venetian announces their WSOP-coincident deep stack tourney schedule.)

BTW... I bought a new suit last year. Probably not going to wear it to the ****show game.

Here is a suggestion for the 1-1 game (rules courtesy of Greg Raymer):

Svetin.

Deal 5 cards per player (6 player max), first round of betting. You use a button and blinds like holdem or omaha. Deal a flop, bet. Make sure the dealer does not rush at this point, and does not burn. Next step is to ask each player, in turn, to put out their discards. Each player can draw from 0-5 cards. Earliest position indicates first, and separates the discards from the keepers. Once everybody has done this, then the dealer burns, deals replacement cards in turn, and immediately also deals the turn card. 3rd round of betting. River card dealt, final round of betting.

At showdown, half the pot goes to the best PLO hand, using 2 from your hand 3 from the board. Other half of the pot goes to the best draw hand, using all 5 from your hand.

Since it's not hi-lo split, odd chip goes to PLO hand. If two players are splitting the PLO or draw half, odd chip goes to early position.

If we need game suggestions, I offer: "Omahold'em"

All players are dealt 6 cards.

Game play, community cards, betting same as Hold'em. All wagering is NL.

After the final community card is dealt, and all betting is completed, the players arrange their 6 cards into two hands placed face down on the table before them:

1) 2 cards for Hold'em (Hold'em rules apply).

2) 4 cards for Omaha (Omaha rules apply).

Once all players have arranged their cards as they like, all players must have their hands arranged and set prior to reveal, the Omaha hands are turned face up and 1/2 the pot is paid to the winner(s). Then the Hold'em hands are turned face up and 1/2 the pot is paid to the winner(s).

I can't imagine us playing any game that did not allow for at least 12 people to be seated at the same table given how it went down last year...

6 cards?! I'm all in. (that is a standing order when I am dealt 6 cards)

Lol these mouth breathers can barely handle 2 cards without drooling all over themselves

High card for $20 first at the table.
Winne buys the drinks until we forget who won.

In, and in for 1/1 nonsense.

???

Perhaps my writing was unclear, but the meetup is scheduled for 5 June-13 Jun, with the majority of LLSNL activity in the 7-11 June range. The Friday nights at least, would make bad 1/1 times because tournaments. I suppose anyone who has to miss a Saturday activity would feel fine missing the ****-show in return for the near-certain WSOP cash, but "wasting" Saturday on the 1/1 game seems sub-optimal.

Seems you guys are planning "option 2 dates," but the majority wanted option 3. Happily, they overlap, so we won't miss you. Would 8 June work for you for the game?

Just checked out rooms and Harrahs is already more expensive than last year.

If prices stay the same I will probably take the poker rate at the V.

Anybody have any decent strat around best time to book hotels?

Bunch of fish itt.

Obvious thing to do is to play either Indian poker or war, and winner buys shots while losers drink them.

At least, for all his other misgivings, lapitarder recognizes that option 3 is the Rapiniest of options.

I will pay one Redbird to the person that gets Mr. Rapini to enter this thread and state his intentions wrt this nonsensical trip.
