Effective stacks are $850

Preflop: Hero is dealt KQ OTB
UTG raises to $50, 4 calls, Hero calls, BB calls

Flop ($350): KQT
4 checks, HIJ bets $100, 1 fold, Hero????

Normally I might find a fold pre but UTG just got stacked twice. Is this a good spot to squeeze with my stack size and the dead money pre? This table is snap calling me with any pp and any AT+.

As played, considering Axdd and Jxdd are never folding and its hard for a shove to get called by worse, is call/evaluate a good line here?

id 3bet this all day long. kq against 4 callers is not really a good hand, since the best thing, if not broadway, is to flop top two, and against 5 its not really a premium holding!

call and see what the turn brings. I might have folded preflop as KQo, even with position
as this is a trouble hand.

Pre depends mostly on the tightness of the initial raiser. If he opens wide-squeeze, if he opens tight- flat. OTF I raise small and puke if somebody shoves on me. Can't tell you what to do if somebody shoves over your raise cuz it's too read dependent but you need to raise flop since you very likely have the best hand and need to protect/get value before a sh*t turn or river

If I'm never getting Axdd and Jxdd to fold and I'm flipping vs those two combos, is there really a need to get it all in vs them OTF?

Im okay with folding pre though, if you have the right image, its a nice squeeze spot. I'm okay with flatting or raising flop. This decision is totally dependent on the players in question and your read of their games. 100 into 250 is a decent sizing tell if you know the player well basically. Tough to imagine any of the other players checking huge hands OTF (if they're good) so I'm not too worried about them being ahead tho they could easily have pair+draw hands.

You never get Axdd or Jxdd to make a mistake no matter what line you take so I wouldn't worry about that part of his range. But by raising you get a ton of pair + gutter hands or pair+OESD that have decent equity against you to fold and also can get worse two pairs to call. If you flat you get less money in vs hands you beat and give a bunch of ratty draws the correct price to call, which is a big concern with 4 or 5 players to act behind you.

+1 to squeezing pre to some capacity although I don't absolutely hate flatting pre with position. As played I probably like a raise to 295/stack off readless with only $850 effective although reads of all the players would be nice. Raising allows you to get value from a wide range of worse one pair hands/flush draws/worse two pairs and protecting against people to act behind. Getting stacks in against AJ/J9/set is not absolutely disastrous with this stack size + you're probably calling most committing turn bets anyway if you choose to flat.

I don't like our relative position to get it in here, especially considering that you state you won't get any draws to fold. I think flatting here to see a safe turn (and moreso to see if anyone check/raises behind you) is the best line given that board.

Clearly on any safe turn, we get it in versus one player. If there are multiple callers of the $100 then we have to play poker on the turn.

I would also likely re-raise pre or fold with KQo but that is very table/read dependent.

I had a very similiar hand last night. We were playing sixhanded waiting for the main table and i get J10o on the button. UTG+2 makes it 50 to go. I call and its me and him heads up. (Probaly a fold pre sonsidering villian is a player who only rasies premium hands, woulda saved me money.) Anyways, flop comes J10K no suits. He checks, I bet 125 and he calls. Turns a Q still rainbow. He checks again and I bet pretty stupidly, he snap shoves and I fold He show's AK.

So basically a fold pre would save us money on these typea hands most of the time but as played in your hand I would call/evaluate.

He's not betting 100 into 350 pot 7 handed with a straight or TT here on this board. Raise/shove.

With good image 3bet preflop also.
