oh since you know he would check the nuts then there is no value in betting. if you could see his cards i would bet a tiny amount to get him to spew or a call.

has crazy mike been playing lately?

the way villain played this hand makes me think the read of "good player" is a bit off, and that really changes the dynamics of the hand quite a bit. if he is willing to play a single pair this way, then i have to shove the river, ainec.

has anyone heard of the term 'context'
when applied to poker??

it's a live hand. that's the game, thats the context.

It sounds like some ppl are more interested in impressing themselves w/ their superiority than sincerely examining a puzzle, a problem,
which is whats supposed to be going on here??

you have to accept that this is a live hand if you want to discuss it.
pretending that it's OL won't work, even though that may protect some egos around here.
the reason?? >>>context, which you cannot extract out of a hand.
when you ignore a context in poker, you tend to run into trouble.

I know that most plays you see at the live table appear as random clicking,
because they are so incredibly stupid, you just can't wrap your mind around them at all, at first.
It's a skill, like any skill, making 'sense' out of it; and I geuss some ppl have a sense of shame about studying ******s, and figuring out why they do what they do, so you can more efficiently exploit them.
you have to dumb yourself down to a degree, it's true.
but, it's also profitable.

yeah, OL rules/ live sucks.

the exception being that we live players have ya'll crushed as far as game selecting goes.
( exactly because it is populated w/ mostly ******s.)

last time i checked, i pay pay my bills w/ $, not cleverness.

your line looks insanely strong esp if villain doesn't view you as someone capable of 3betting the flop with air. I'd have 3-bet the flop but if you really don't want to do that you have to flat turn and minraise most rivers. I can't believe villain couldn't find a fold with kj ott. who was it?

there are as many good foxwoods poker players as there are good foxwoods dealers. there are none.
