Live 1/2: 2 pair good? Live 1/2: 2 pair good?

1/2 live game. I start the hand with 183.

A couple people limp in, guy to my right makes it 12, I call on button with JTs, both blinds and 2 limpers call

Flop comes QJT with 2 hearts

Checks to the preflop raiser who bets 30. I call. It folds around to one of the limpers who also calls.

My thinking on the flop is I am ahead of a fair amount of his c-betting range (AQ, AJ, KK, AA) and could get away pretty easily if one of the early positions decided to raise. I felt like my hand was too strong to fold and that while raising might give me the information I needed and protect my hand from draws, it would also cost money I may not need to spend if I am beat, depending how the future action goes.

Turn comes an offsuit 4. Both players check to me and I go all in for 141.

I figured that once I am checked to, my hand is likely to be good and I could not get away from it if I bet a smaller amount so I might as well just shove to protect myself from a draw heavy board.

I am interested in reactions to how to play this hand, as well as my thought process. I have played mostly limit games the last few years and find myself quite lost trying to evaluate ranges in some of these low stake NL games.

Considering ur not even 100bb to start, it seems like a standard play.

Ya dude.. So i think you really want to raise this flop for value (protection is really just a by product of your value raise not the object).. I would make it like 75-90 then on this blank turn you can comfortably shove for less than 1/2 pot if cked to..

LOL @ raising flop for value. Bottom two doesn't beat anything on this board. Given your position, seems like a FOLD on the flop (not a level).

Sigh, to be sure, you're aware that we're not even ahead of KJ on this board? And that there are four players to act behind? And that literally all straight and higher two pair combos are in all of their ranges?

EDIT: Sorry, correction: two pair = nutz unfoldable cooler if ur beat

Just for lulz I did an equilab, giving opp a range of any two random cards greater than or equal to 9.

Flop: QhJhTs
46.48% 43.68% 2.81% JcTc
53.52% 50.71% 2.81% 99+, A9s+, K9s+, Q9s+, J9s+, T9s, A9o+, K9o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o

We pull ahead if I change the range to any two random cards greater than or equal to 8

MP2 50.75% 48.10% 2.65% JcTc
MP3 49.25% 46.60% 2.65% 88+, A8s+, K8s+, Q8s+, J8s+, T8s+, 98s, A8o+, K8o+, Q8o+, J8o+, T8o+, 98o

But I mean cmon, how often do people have BOTH cards greater than or equal to 9? Pretty rare imo, so easy ship.

Folding pre here, we just are not deep enough. OTF as played - I am flatting, I agree there raising here is bad. Turn. As played: we have just over a psb, can't see going anything else

Really? You are folding JTs on the button in a live 1/2 game with almost 100BB? How nitty do you play live 1/2?
