2/2 nl, 4 to open, $200 max buy in, 9 handed.

Table has been getting looser in the last hour, and has mainly older, gambly Asians, one young Asian playing LAG not very well, and one stereotypical LAG Young White Guy, complete with Beats headphones, to Hero's right. His stack has been way up and way down.

Hero is stereotypical MAWG, dressed well for the room. It's been a good session so far for Hero, playing mainly TAG or even ABC. Cards haven't really been that great, but Hero's bets are respected and so far every c-bet with air has taken it down, and some c-bets with the goods have been called down ftw. Hero is the tightest at the table.

Villain is playing LAG but not very good in H's opinion. Opens or limps wide, positionally aware, will fire at pots, especially on the turn if checked through on flop. He will also lay it down after a barrel or two.

One head-scratching hand a few orbits earlier saw V call two limpers pre from the button, then the flop came 4 5 7 rainbow. Older Asian Guy bet 15, YWG raised 15, Wild Asian Guy called, OAG called. Turn 8. OAG bets 40, YWG raises 40, WAG raises 100, OAG calls all in, YWG shoves, WAG calls.

River card doesn't matter. OAG shows 5-6 for straight, WAG shows J-6 for straight, YWG shows KK for big loss. Even the cocktail waitress knew the Asian Guys each had a 6. On to the hand.

Hero $380, YWG covers after re-buy and some scoops.

UTG live straddles $4, 4 or 5 limpers to YWG on button who raises to $25. Hero holds red QQ in SB.

3bet to 85 for big fat value. Idc if we play our hand face up.

Flatting here just invites this to go multiway to the flop, which is likely a disaster. A bad LAG can be squeezing here pretty light so expect a lot of folds but with QQ it's best. I like $75, your stack means there is no reason to go huge. If somebody shoves you have to soul read, but I'm probably getting it in.

I'd make it closer to $90+ with the lumps and straddle.

H makes it 75 to go, gamboolers fold, and V thinks on it, my impression was that he was close to folding, then calls.

Hero's plan is to bet for value if no A or K hits, and think about it if A or K hits.

Flop 4 6 9 two hearts. Pot $165 or so after rake. H has 305 behind.

Hero bets 100.

V tanks. At one point he says "Can I get a count?", meaning my bet amount, which is obvious because I keep my chips in stacks of 50 and I just slid two stacks out, but I've seen him ask it before, and he seems to do it just to give himself thinking time. The only read H has is that V is really thinking, not Hollywooding.

V shoves.

You must call. He could have AA or KK, but he could have TT, JJ, AK or the other QQ or hearts.

Hero's plan was to commit to the hand when he bet $100 on the flop, and given his belief in V's wide stealing range from the button and earlier, very questionable, shove, snap called.

The wheels then came off, however.

V asked, "Aces?"

H said no, tabled his Q's, and V tabled K's.

No suck out came on the turn or river, and all of H's chips went away.

Well or poorly played by H? Cooler or spew?

In my old weak-tight days I wouldn't have played this so aggressively and may not have been felted, but I've been trying to improve my game.

At the table and thinking on it later I believe I played it right, but all feedback is welcome.

Okay, thanks for the feedback, I wanted to make sure that I was thinking/playing along the right lines.

It was frustrating, because it was a great table that I thought I had thoroughly figured out and I got stacked 40 minutes before I had to leave. I then just dribbled a few chips after the reload with no cards or opportunities.

I watched YWG again do the exact same thing from the button - he raised after multiple limps on a straddled pot, then shoved on a big bet and got called. He tabled A8 and rivered an 8 ftw after the WAG's draw didn't come in.

Wild Asian Guy dropped at least a grand buying in for 100 at a time while I was there, including once betting his new 100 buy-in in the dark, before the deal, and not looking at his cards until the board ran out (he lost).

Gambly asians and two young, bad LAG's — and I had to leave down a buy-in.
