Hero is 200BB effective. ($400) SB - new to table but table saw hero play a KK tricky and guy next to me was talking about it. I had KK in SB - BTN raised to $10 - I 3bet $25 he calls flop is 337 - i Cbet $20 (trying to look weak and he was pretty short) he calls - Turn is 9 - I think for about 7 seconds and check. He shoves for $100ish - I snap - he turns over 88 and river is a 2 and I scoop.

Villain 1 BB - was up to $600 but now down to $400. Playing too many hands OOP. Maybe he is bored.

Villain 2 BTN (now to my right after I bust out the 88 player) - Some guy who has been talking to me about my KK hand and why I checked the turn. Maybe $200 - Likes to limp call.

table is 6max right now

folds to BTN - he limps - I make it $12 with QQ from SB - BB calls - BTN calls.

$36 pot

J38

I bet $25
2 calls - (I think I shoulda gone $30 but meh)

Turn is K

Checks around

River is A

Checks around

Eh, it's OK. I can't really see you getting worse to call or better to fold from the turn on. An argument could be made for b/f the river, but again, they will put you on AK (of course), so I can't see worse calling.

You don't want to give away pre flop raising tells, but with QQ, I make it a little bigger pre. With AA, 12 is prob ok in this spot. With KK, 12-18. With QQ, 15-20. Not hard and fast but on average and mixing it up just a little. A little bigger w QQ bc you want to charge the over cards to see a flop and you want to be able to make a nice flop bet to again charge the over cards.

With $400 eff stacks, $12 pre and $25 flop still leaves $350+ behind so it's not unreasonable to think someone will peel and be in a spot to reap implied odds.

I think you played this fine. Bad turn, bad river, hand held. Good result.
But I like a little bigger pre and a little bigger flop bc we're deeper.

The deeper we are, the harder it is for opponents to make mistakes against us pre when they have position.

I would probably bet turn. With two callers on flop one of them is likely to have the flush draw or a straight draw. I don't mind folding out the JX hands to charge the draws.

River is an obvious check/evaluate with an eye towards folding. A lot of bets on the river are going to be AJ or A high flush draws that now beat you.

I might bet turn, but I have no problem with the check with two callers. I'm fine with the hand as played -- no worse is calling.

Looks pretty standard to me.

Grunch. I think you missed a bet ott.

I can't find value or a Bluff oop w that river 3 way ap

Interesting though that if the turn gets bet and only the BB calls we should probably consider bombing river w QT blocked and a strong line against his weakish, but possibly beating us still range

I think b/f the turn.

not many Ks floating the flop unless is specifically Kdxd kj.

Worst hands may call - but I could also now easily get blown off my hand if I cbet turn.

Flush draws may try and bluff raise this K card if I bet but may take a free card if I check.

Maybe I'm a nit monger, but I don't like betting on the turn here cause with 2 callers and OOP you have to continue up on the river almost always, and the Ace is a terrible hard to do that. If you bet/check (turn/river) you will almost certainly facing a tough call on the river which you will have to fold. This hand plays a lot like a middle pair too (99's)in this situation, just get to showdown.

Of course, as previously stated. Check turn, bet river is not an option.

Betting turn for value all day. This smacks our range more than villains' range which is mostly Jx and draws, which you still beat.

As played, I am checking river.
