Game is $2-$100 spread-limit. Just wondering if I’m a total nit or if this is appropriate:
Monday night. This is my third hand. My only observation is that there are more deep stacks than usual (almost everyone has around my $300 max buy-in).
HAND: 5 $2 limps, I raise to $18 with QhQd in the SB, BB, UTG, and Button all call cuz we didn’t come here to fold, fellas.
Flop: 8s8c6s (pot: $75, 4-ways). I check. The other 3 check.
RESULT: BB checked too, UTG bet $18, Button called, I called, BB folded.
River was a beautiful third 8. I bet $100, UTG folded, Button continues his ambitious calls this hand by looking me up with 97o and I win a nice pot to start my night.
