Maybe I don't follow this right, but it looks like you won. Why are you saying you were beat? He had KK and you had 24o right? If true, it looks like he got cute with pocket kings by limping them preflop and couldn't fold them post! The line is what it is! I would expect to lose to a nine a lot if called down here.

Your in the bb and check 2/4o. The flop comes K22 in a limped pre-flop pot and you check and then check raise 25 into 32 (~4/5 Pot) which folds the button (dead money) and the short stack "GI" (soldier) calls. His bet and call of your check raise suggests he's most likely willing to play for his whole but small stack (starting hand with 50BB). That should be a concern for your weak trips. What do you think he thinks you have with your line up to this point in the hand (limp from BB and check-raise a K22 flop)? A neutral card hits on the turn and you bet 35 into 72 (~1/2 Pot) and he calls 35 into 107 (~1/3 Pot). At this point you should know he has at least a King or trips (which makes his hand bigger-A2). Based on his earlier play you know he'll play for all his chips and you must know he's never folding his last 38 on the river in a pot that is going to be with your bet of 38, 180, giving him roughly 4.5-1 to call. What do you think he has? What do you think he thinks you think he has? If you check the river and he bets are you calling given his line of limp, bet/call, call, bet? Remember his earlier play he had trips with a Q kicker, bigger than KQ or KJ on this board with your action. You lead the river and he calls winning a pot of 218 minus rake. Did your flop check-raise from the BB turn your cards face up? What do you think he thinks about your hand given that line? As played there is no way to find a fold and I'm not sure I could fold anyway even if I checked the river and he bet his final 38 giving me the 4.5-1 to call with weak trips. He hit the perfect flop and so got lucky playing KK passively into a multi-way situation and so won a big pot. His line post flop is perfect. He knew he almost assuredly had the nuts and you had trips and let you do the betting. Trips are easily seen and I've often overvalued them.

Don't post results.
24 checks option in BB and flops trips with a K on the flop multiway? c/r is horrible. You want to fold out weak kings? Lead flop AINEC.
