Table is typical 1/3. Maybe a little more aggressive than usual. Many hands being raises pre but still plenty of limps to a flop. A couple of action players that have been bluffing a lot has caused the rest of the table to follow suit and bluff more. Lots of calling to bluff catch as well. Due to table conditions Hero has played very tight. In addition has been card dead so has folded just about every hand for 2 hours. All V's involved in these hands have H covered.

Hand 1 Hero( $300) is UTG+2 with 99

H Limps, MP limps, V BTN Limps SB,BB complete.

Flop (15) 733r. Check to H who bets $10 V raises to $25 folds to H who calls.

Turn (65) 6 completing rainbow. H checks V bets $40 H calls

River (145) J. H checks and V goes into the tank for awhile. Haven't seen him take this long to make a decision yet. Eventually he bets $65. H?

Hand 2 Hero ($400) is BTN with KK. V is fairly new to table UTG +2. Bought in for $500 when the table max is $400. Nobody seemed to notice but me, but I didn't say anything. One of the more TAG players at the table.

V limps, MP limps H raises to $15. V calls, MP folds.

Flop (30) 823r. V bets into me $10. Hero raises to $30. V 3bets to $100. H?

H1:

I also limp preflop.

In a game with lottsa bluffing I might just check the flop and see what happens (mostly bluffcatching). If betting I probably bet smaller (but that's a minor nitpick). But it really sucks getting raised as now we'll often be OOP and playing far too big a pot. I think I just nitty fold to the raise and move on since life isn't going to get any easier on later streets.

Ditto thinking for both turn/river. We're just going to hold on for dear life and hope we're good? Overall we're getting far too much of our stack in (4 bets postflop) over a completely unimportant pot, imo.

H2:

With these stacks it will be difficult to raise an amount preflop to setup a comfortable stack-off situation postflop, so I'm cool with the smaller raise to setup a more playable SPR.

SPR is 13, so I definitely don't want to commit postflop. So I would probably just call down in position / bet if checked to. Even though the donk bet is fairly small, it's not that much smaller than I likely would have bet myself. The board also isn't very drawy so it's not as if we get the benefit of charging draws. So I think raising is overplaying our hand.

And I would then nit fold to the re-raise. We're playing our hand about as face up as we can be and yet this guy seems to be cool with attempting to setup a play for stacks. Overall I really just think we should be attempting to get to showdown / realizing our equity for a reasonable price while underrepping our hand as best as possible, and that's super easy to do in position by just calling down.

H1: Don't like the up front limp with 99s when we should have a tight image. I open this hand and safely fold to a 3-bet. As played I'm probably folding to the flop raise against a loose passive player in a limped pot. It depends a little on the player type though.

H2: Fine. Just call. I'd raise the donk bet a bit more.. Make it 50 or something.

Spoiler:
H 1 Hero calls. V says nice call and shows K high.
H2 I felt very confident V had flopped a set. I took a chance and told him " you must have flopped a set of 8's" and folded my KK face up. V smiled and showed 88.
