So last night I went to the casino to play 1/2NL...Bought in for $200...not out of my poker bankroll but just entertainment money.

Ran really good in the first 30 minutes. Hit sets with 88 and 99 two hands in a row! Also hit a full house with AK, and made a few straights.

Cashed out with $550 so I was pretty happy. I was up to $625 at my peak until I ran into a tough hand:

I'm UTG with KdKs and about 300 BB deep. I open raise to $15 and all folds until the SB. SB who is very deep with about 650 BB calls $15.

Flop comes QT6 all hearts. I cbet $25 and SB calls. Nervous about those hearts at this point. Turn comes 7s. SB bets $90. I tank for a minute and fold! I show my kings and he has a look of relief on his face.

Feedback??

Thanks

looks like a set that didn't want to see another H, to me. I prob call and see a river in position honestly though, and if a H comes on the river and he checks to you plan to bluff it? He could of course already have the flush, but you provided no reads on V as far as a player goes except hes 650bb deep.

Call turn and soul read river. He could have Qxh one heart. You're deep enough to call turn and you're ip. Dont fold face up. Dont give away information.

Or a straight; 89 gives him a double gut otf.

OP, two comments.

1. I'm not getting all the angst, all you had was one pair . Play it, don't play it, whatever. But don't fall in love with it, the way I fell in love with my Farrah Fawcett poster when I was 13. Paper, my son. It's all paper.
2. For the love of Pete, don't show when you fold KK. Muck your hand and cheerfully say, "guess my pair of sixes is no good!" That wasn't a look of relief; it was the look of "all your chip are belong to us!"

Let the pf raiser cbet, but it'd be horrible to let the turn check through with this strong of a hand so I need to lead ott. That's what I'd be thinking if I flopped a flush.

He bet pot anyway, 1 pair isn't the hand we want to play a huge pot with when we're over 300BB deep anyway.

Better question is what would you have done if he checked the turn to you and why? Check and why? Bet, what size, and planning to get ai or is it a b/f?
