Deep 1/2 game

Hero(but) tight, doesn't play a lot of pots, online player. Main villain-Loose, good player-hero is ahead in recent sessions pots played. Second V-good player-TAG plays bigger games and likes to play for stacks. Hero has 575, smallest stack. Both V's have 1500+

1/2 BUT straddle 5
UTG1 V2 call four calls to hero on Button
BUT-raise 25
BB-raise 60
UTG1 call
Hero???
Spoiler:
Hero, 505 reraises to 160.

Four betting can never be bad here. But I actually like a call. You have position and you can keep Vs range wider.

too small. I'm going $250 (still less than a pot sized raise). Having put half my stack in I'm pot stuck anyway, so I don't want to give too good a price to stack me. Lots in the middle to take down already.

Our original raise is kind of small. In this deep game, it's very likely to get a chain of callers who limped in for $5. As straddler, we're likely to be seen as stealing it even if we go a bit bigger, say $35-40. Now that it's back to us with a small 3b & cold call, 4bet is a must IMO, both of their ranges can be wide given how deep they are against eachother. If we go $190 and get 1 caller, we'll be left with $385 in a pot that will be $450 on the flop. Seems good to me as a bare minimum size. In the heat of the moment, I'd probably make it $210

Your stack is short enough that flatting or making a small raise is OK. But I prefer $200 when V1 limp/calls. His range is pocket pair heavy, if it goes 3 ways to the flop he will know he needs to hit his set. You need to make him pay now.

As played it's not a good situation and really villain dependent. Depending on how villain will react to your 2 smallish raises you could either fold or call. With KK I would lean call.

I disagree with your sizing but the end result is still the same. It’s all in preflop.

I posted this because I have a hard time figuring how to play this hand. I think I have a very good read here. As played for villain to 3B me, I think he has to have a really strong hand. I have gotten beat by AA in opens like this, so I will 4B/fold. I think losing $160 is better than losing my whole stack. Sometimes V's fold, but not many. If they 5B, I see them holding a specific hand, AA. If they call, we see the flop.

Still, it feels very bad to lose that much when I fold a big hand, so I am looking for a better way to approach.

Calling is tricky as well. Say, the flop is 9,4,2r. V1 bets 150, do I call or raise. What about A,K,7 r and V bets?

Thanks for all the replies.
Spoiler:
I folded KK face up and V showed AA.

Don't show your big folds. Definitely don't show KK.
