I had been playing pretty snug up to this point and hadn't got involved in any big pots. The table was quite loose with one or two decent players, so I was just waiting for the right spot.

UTG (decent reg) £250
MP (loose fish) £200
HJ (loose reg) £150

I have around £150 which was around average for the table.

Dealt K K in the SB
UTG limps, MP+1 opens to £4, HJ flats, Hero raises to £14, UTG calls, MP+1 calls, HJ calls.

Flop - 5 6 8

Not the worst flop in the world but given how loose some of the players are, they definitely have 5-6, 7-8, 5-5, 6-6, 8-8 in their ranges so I decide to proceed with caution.

Hero bets £35, UTG raises to £75, UTG+1 folds, HJ folds.

I think my play up to now is ok. My thought process was UTG was looking to play a lot of pots and wouldn't be bothered being oop to the 2 loose players behind. So I think he has sets in his range, but also suited connectors like 7-8, 9-8 and even 7-7. He feels he can rep a set and get me to fold my A-K/A-Q hands that are probably c-betting this board.

Had one of the looser players raised then I would have snap jammed for sure. But given UTG player is fairly decent I decided to think about it.

I ended up shoving as I felt he has a lot of draw type hands possibly with one pair that have a lot of equity on the turn. He snapped and showed 7 7 which I wasn't too surprised to see.

He did river a 4 to scoop but I was wondering if 3bet shoving flop is the right play?

You've got 9 clubs, 3 4s, 3 9s and 3 Aces which is 15 cards that can make you feel really uncomfortable on the turn. I think jam/fold are probably your only choices here with the stack size. This is probably just dependent on your read of V.

I'm sure someone else can run the math of KK vs. his range for you.
