KhJc in HJ: garbage or value? KhJc in HJ: garbage or value?

1/2. CO has 1800, laggy, solid, 3betting sometimes. BB and MP are loose passive. Little three-betting from BB and MP. Everyone covers hero who has 277 .

Straddle 5 on the button, SB folds, BB calls, MP calls. Hero with KhJc in HJ?

Looks like an easy raise over two weak players to me.

Hero? Hero raises to 20 and immediately regretted it. I almost always raise 25-30 here. For anyone paying attention, I just revealed I had a shitty hand and told myself next time just fold. Guess what? No one's paying attention. CO spent most of the evening on his cell phone. CO calls, Button folds, MP calls.

Flop (~60 after rake) 782hhh

MP checks, hero bets 30 and again regretted it. These types of continuation bets--multiway, with a middling draw--were a huge leak for me online that I tried to reform. My idea was that I have some equity in this hand and should bet it here as bluff since I play so much tighter than everyone else.

CO calls. MP calls.

Turn (150) 8 no hearts

Check. Hero checks. CO bets 50. MP calls. Hero? Results in 24 hours.

Fold turn as played. Even though pre-flop raise would be normal, this hand is a good overlimp candidate in general.

Hero folded turn. Button was called at showdown with 9c9h and scooped.

In this situation, I think raising pre-flop is a little better because you can "buy the button" by folding making the players with position on you fold all their marginal hands. You don't really want to be out of position in a multi-way pot with a hand where most of its value comes from making top pair. It might be close to a raise or fold spot in general if the players behind aren't loose passive, but most opponents are. I don't really want to develop a limp/call range from MP and even if I did, KJo wouldn't be in there.

On the flop, I would want at least the Kh to bet although that could easily be a leak in a multi-way pot.

KJo is the bottom of my range in the HJ. My lesson is that I have to play it like it's the top of my range pre.

Seems pretty standard, tho one can quibble about bet sizing pf. Hero raised a good hand in late position over limpers, semibluffed a monotone rag flop and folded an iffy draw vs two players ott. Not much you can do different to win this one.

At least 25 pre but folding is also an option given the ep limp from passive player. Not a fan of this hand unsuited.

Three ways checking this monotone flop looks best. Betting 20 is the next best option.

Checking turn seems fine but never folding to a third pot bet here with the Kh and two overs vs what looks like two capped ranges. I think we can often successfully bluff the river when a brick hits, representing KK/JJ
