£1/£2 live HLH cash game. 9 players.

Hero - £135 (62BB)
Villain 1 - c.£400 (200BB). Loose, aggressive, young player.
Villain 2 - c.£700 (350BB). Solid winning player, has made some good decisions post flop. Does plays a lot of hands.

Pre Flop
V1 makes it £8 UTG, V2 calls from MP. Hero has JJ on Button makes it £30. Both V1 and V2 call.

Flop
A,K,8 (not suited). All players check.

Turn
3 (suited with K). V1, V2 check again. What is V1 and V2 range? What should Hero do?

Advice would be appreciated.

I'm almost never 3betting this pre vs. UTG open.

As played, just try to check it down. You're not going to get any value from anything you beat.

Also, rebuy to 100bbs.

UTG was the loosest player at the table opening the betting almost every other hand. You still wouldn't suggest 3 bet vs him pre flop?

3 betting is fine if they are opening loads. The flop is pretty terrible and although they both checked twice I would just try and get to showdown as cheaply as possible.

This would need to be stated up front to get decent replies.

If 8 was a smaller open size, then 3 bet is ok even though i dont usually. I would bet like 1/3 pot on flop. You may as well find out some info. for your price with position here since anyone calling will have you beat and you wont be enticed to calling a turn bet (bluff) which rarely would be a bluff.

We can never just assume someone has us beat and check fold ever. And checking flop will lead to large errors within the hand IMO.

+1

>> I would 3bet bigger pre-flop if he is very loose

why wouldnt you 3bet with jacks if its a loose player? i am just not a fan of calling with jacks when you have a decent chance of winning with the hand pre.

I like the pre-flop action.

I wish you had bet the flop. However, given that it miraculously checked around again on the turn, you should be thrilled you get to check and at worst have to call one bet on the river.

With this line of logic you should be 3-betting 72o under similar circumstances
